-Loki's P.O.V-
I held the small green bundle in my arms, dazzling brown eyes looking up at me.
My little dove, my baby girl. She had her mothers hair and eye color, but my features. She would be an elegant and beautiful young woman.
Her mother, my wife, had died in childbirth. I had sworn to my wife just moments before her passing that I would keep our daughter safe and healthy.
"Lana, her name is Lana."
Thor grinned widely at me and gripped my shoulder. Little Lana cooed happily as she saw both her Uncle and I.
"A beautiful name brother! One fitting of the newest Asgardian princess!"
Lana giggled at Thor's booming voice, snuggling into my chest and the green blanket. I smiled down at her, stroking the tufts of curly brown hair atop her small head.
My eyes nearly popped out of their sockets as I saw my precious daughter turn blue, much like when I let the frost giant part of me show.
"She is like you brother."
I stroked her small blue cheek and she cooed, grabbing my finger in her tiny fist, her skin going back to its original paleness.
I watched as she slowly fell asleep, her small fist still clutching my finger. Smiling down at her, I heard Thor speak a little softer as he walked to my bedroom chamber doors.
"I will allow you and the princess to rest brother, I am sure many will wish to see her tomorrow."
And with that he exited the room.
I sat down on my dark green comforter, rocking my Lana.
"I have a present for you my little dove."
Reaching into my nightstand drawer, I pulled out a small silver chain, hanging from it was a gold pendent shaped to look like my horned helmet. I draped it around her neck as she slept.
"If you are ever in trouble my love, just hold the pendent in your hand and ask for me. I promise I will always come to your rescue."
I kissed Lana's head before laying back on my bed, still in my black pants and green shirt. I rest her on my chest as I fall asleep, listening to her little heartbeats and intakes of breath.
-Five Years Later/Third Persons P.O.V-
The small Lana giggled, running down the palace halls the second the maids were finished dressing her.
Her dark brown curly hair flowed as she ran around, looking for her beloved Father and Uncle. Her dark green dress swirled around her little legs, her black and gold flats clicking against the floors.
The necklace her Father gave her is hanging around her neck as she walks into the banquet hall. Sif, who was like her aunt, and the Warrior Three, who were like her uncles, greeted her from where they sat.
"Good morning princess."
Lana smiled adorably up at Sif.
"Hi Auntie. Do you know where daddy and uncle tor is?"
Sif laughed softly at the young princess' pronunciation of her uncles name.
"They're at the head of the table young one."
The small brunette squealed.
"Thank you auntie!"
With that, Lana ran past the dozens of chairs, giggiling out small hi's to those who greeted her. She squeezed her Uncle's leg as she hugged it.
"Now who may that be!?"
Lana giggled at her Uncle's booming voice, squealing as he pulled her up into his arms, tossing her into the air.
"Little one!! Good morning princess!"
Thor smiled brightly at his niece as she giggled.
"Morning Uncle Tor! Do you know where daddy is?"
Thor chuckled at the young princess' pout, wanting her father.
"Little dove?"
Lana gasped and squealed, reaching her arms out for the familiar, gold black and green clad form of her beloved father.
Loki chuckled, running a hand through his long black hair before picking up his daughter, cradeling her to his chest, kissing her head as he sits in his seat.
"Morning Daddy!"
He smiles at the giggiling form of his precious Lana.
"Good morning my little dove. Are you hungry."
Lana nodded eagerly, looking at the long table full of plates over flowing with food.
Loki smiled lovingly, helping her fill her plate with many different fruits, some toast, along with a few more sugary things.
"So my love, how did you sleep last night."
Loki gazed down at his daughter as she ate a few grapes, the young princess swallowed before answering.
"Really good daddy!"
He chuckled.
"That's good little dove."
Loki stroked her hair, him, Thor and Lana talking inbetween eating. He held his daughter close to him in his lap, wishing she would never grow up.
