Chap.: 27
"What is it?", Inui asked as he saw how Y/N was fiddling with her fingers.
"Is Izana trying to trap me?"
"Huh?", the taller boy asked, peering down at the girl who was already looking up at him.
"That boy who looks like a rip off of you said something like that", she muttered, nodding towards Shoto who was talking to his father.
"Don't listen to him", Inui wasn't much a fan of Izana, but he took care of Y/N, so he deserved respect, and to stay in Y/N's good grace.
"That is the child of a pro-hero. He doesn't want you to be better than him, would be a shame for him. A girl, thrown into fame and money is a danger to him. Plus, I'm sure he's got one of these heroic quirks. Don't listen to a word he says."
"You're right Seishu", Y/N hummed with a little smile, "You always are."
Inui smiled at the girl, it was best for her to not know the truth.

"My sweetling. Look at you, having grown so much", Y/N's grandfather spoke as he saw the girl in her new dress. It was odd to the girl.
She still felt like a doll, but less controlled. Now she also had a say in what she wore and how she kept her hair. She wasn't this good little hero girl anymore, but she looked more mature now. More serious.
Most of her clothes having turned dark and less light colors, her hair almost never in two pigtails anymore. She still kept her puppy-eyeliner habit but she didn't pair it with pink lipstick anymore, at least not often.
No longer pink rouge on her cheeks, instead Keung liked to keep Y/N serious, still adorable but much less girly and childish.
"Hello grandfather", Y/N smiled as she went to give her grandpa a kiss on his cheek, sitting down next to him on the couch in her room, leaning against her grandfather who looked into the fire.
"Do you still want to attend UA?"
"Yes... I want to help people."
"Oh you sweet innocent child", Keung muttered, shaking his head slightly at the pure innocence radiating off the girl. He could dress her as mature and dark as he wanted, it would never erase her innocence. And no matter how much he'd put siren eyeliner on his granddaughter, he'll never erase those big doe-eyes, he'll never get rid of the Bambi-naivety that lied in her heart.
He'd keep her this innocent forever, he'd love for her to stay this bright and happy forever, but Keung knew that if he didn't show her the harsh realities of this world, another would do. Someone else would play the hunter to rip out the innocent heart caged in between her ribs. Rip out the last bit of innocence and leave a gaping black hole where it once sat.
"You know that I'd never want to hurt you, right?"
"Of course I do", Y/N muttered, looking into the fire as well, enjoying the warmth it gave her, her room was luxurious but cold. It was her home, but it was cold.
"Do you know how to handle a gun?"
Y/N bit her inner cheek as she looked down at the sudden question.
