~Chapter 7~
In the Heavenly Realm's 60,000-year history, two emperors have reigned, one was Divine Dragon Mu Guang and the other was Phoenix Queen Feng Ran.
Mu Guang is a god that refined the Three Realms for thousands of years. He is kind and tolerant and is highly respected by thousands of immortals.
Feng Ran had a totally different temperament from birth. When she was younger, she was mischievous and untamed, but as she grew older, she turned evil. Nobody expected that Mu Guang would give Feng Ran the title of Heavenly Emperor before turning into a stone dragon to protect the barrier separating immortals from demons. It would most likely suit the tastes of immortals and demons better if Feng Ran were the demon clan's emperor.
There were countless casualties in the blood feud between the two clans that resulted in the war between immortals and demons hundreds of years ago. Being crowned Heavenly Emperor was not a blessing in that case. They may not be kidding, even though Feng Ran was already the Phoenix Queen, the immortals who said nothing about her ascending to the throne.
A hundred years passed by, but the result was beyond the expectations of the Three Realms. The wanton and arrogant Phoenix Queen sat firmly on the throne of the Heavenly Emperor, as comfortable as a fish in water. There was no other reason for this. When she ascended to the throne, the immortal clan was in depression. Feng Ran lifted all the restrictions on the nine spiritual springs in the South Sea that had been controlled by Wutong Island for tens of thousands of years to allow the immortals to cultivate. The Phoenix Clan was passed down from ancient times, when the God Realm was closed and they could only live in the lower realm. The Phoenix Clan moved to Wutong Island after sixty thousand years, having grown accustomed to life on the lower realm. If they move back, there was only the welcome principle back then.
They have proudly occupied half of the immortal realm's paradise for 60,000 years. Mu Guang dared not force the Phoenix Clan to spit out a small portion of treasure land back then, when the Phoenix Queen was asleep. Because of the Phoenix Queen's affection, the elders of the Phoenix Clan were exceptionally giving this time.
Eating those who are ungrateful and take advantage of others is an age-old truth. Feng Ran stunned all the immortals and demons witnessing the revelry by using a rogue and dishonest method to abnormally expand the immortal realm in just a hundred years.
Hundred years later, she is still the arrogant and ill-tempered Feng Ran, but she is now the untouched ruler of the Immortal Clan. Not everybody is able to give away the precious possessions they have used to conceive and raise an entire world. Despite her arrogant and domineering nature, Feng Ran possesses a ruler's heart from birth.
The emperor's metaphor works with the real world, as demonstrated by Feng Ran and Mu Guang. Regarding that, the Immortal Realm chose two Heavenly Emperors who were all morally upright.
During the more than a hundred years that Feng Ran had been in charge of the Immortal Realm, in addition to strengthening the immortal clan, she only cared about two things. One was Jing Jian who's souls could be condensed, and the other was the little fire phoenix born from the Phoenix Clan against nature.
After a protracted rebirth, Jing Jian has only recently succeeded in uniting the three out of the seven souls that are dispersed throughout the Eight Wastelands of Nine Heavens. It will not take shape for at least a few hundred years. However, Feng Yin's soul was extraordinarily powerful because it was fed by Shang Gu's Fire Phoenix Jade and sycamore ancestor trees. The soul could take form even before Nirvana emerged from its area of influence. Her soul form is the most delicate, though. She might become disintegrated and unable to return to the world if her soul is harmed before Nirvana.
