"The doctor will see you now" She dropped, already turning around to leave, but took a stop only a feet away.

"Although, Dr. Corinne got called for an emergency today, so someone else will see to you"

"Your doctor's waiting in Hall 2b, room 14"

The lady barely spared me a minute to have her words settle with me, as she was already found hurrying down the halls in a second.

"What?!....What do you mean someone else will attend to me?" But believe me, all of my words went unheard, as the lady went further out of sight.

The building was massive.

Housing halls that would have you thinking you had gotten lost, it took me quite a while to find my way to my examination room amidst the minutes I had spent going to and fro the hospital.

I stepped into the space, being welcomed by the sound of a computer beeping, footsteps retreating, and such comfort I was had gotten keen on.

But only one feet in, and I froze.

I turned on my feet, making my way out of the room the same way I waddled in after coming to meet that figure bent over the examination bed.

He had barely noticed me walk in, eyes fixed on a file before him, perhaps mine, he skimmed it page to page, his focus undivided, not until the nurse who escorted me in enquired where I was hurrying off to.
