The Astronomy Tower was supposed to be empty. It was late, and I needed space to think, where I go to clear my head. Today have been a long day. Thankfully I got to wake up in my own bed this morning and not Draco's. Alex and him tried to beg me to sleep in the boys dormitories for another night but I really wasn't about to. That hole night and morning was awful.

Then I couldn't sleep at all last night ether so I've been so fucking tired the hole day and I haven't been feeling the best ether. I couldn't get myself to eat anything at all before dinner when Pansty literally forced me. I'm really thankful for her and Alex, they help me a a lot with my eating.

But as I took my last step from the stairs and onto the platform the smell of smoke hit me. I walked over to the balcony and out of nowhere a boy was standing leaning against the metal fence.

"Holy fuck!" I gasped, my heart stopped for a moment.

Mattheo turned from where he leaned against the railing with a cigarette in his hand. "Relax... It's just me."

"You scared me," I said letting out s big sigh of relief.

"Didn't think anyone else came up here this late," he said looking directly into my eyes.

"Neither did I," I muttered, brushing past him to the far end of the tower.

The stars above were bright, but I couldn't focus with Mattheo nearby. The quiet crackle of his cigarette and the faint scent of smoke made it impossible to ignore him.

"Bad day?" he asked after a while.

I kept my eyes on the stars. "Something like that."

"Want to talk about it?"

"No." I told him instantly not waiting to talk about it at all.

Mattheo hummed but didn't press. Instead, he flicked ash over the railing.

"What about you Mattheo, why are you here?" I asked.

"Couldn't sleep," he said simply.

I nodded, unsure how to respond. The silence became longer, but it wasn't uncomfortable. When Mattheo spoke again, his voice was quieter.

"Do you come here often?"

"Yeah, almost every night sense year four" I told him truthfully. "How did you find this place?" I ask him curiously.

"I couldn't sleep yesterday so i went for a walk around the castle" he admitted. "And now it is my favorite place to smoke at night, its always so quiet. Well before you came.." He said almost sounding annoyed. Like I wasn't here first.
