"Thank you"
I say to Madoc's employee, my father's best friend is handing me the key to my apartment for the next 4 years.
I graduated from high school and decided to go to college in New York, I chose medicine, I like it and I want to become a doctor, I politely greet the employee and enter the apartment, it is quite close to the college and it is also spacious, it is located at the 24th floor of a skyscraper, has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and a spacious living room.
I enter, leave my luggage in the small hall and take off my shoes and call my father, telling him that I have arrived
"Hello my Elina!"
"Hello!"
"You arrived safely, do you like the place?"
"Yes, it is very spacious and bright!"
"I'm glad you like it!"
"Don't forget Madoc has a son, he might come to visit this winter!"
I don't really mind that I like meeting now people.
"Yeah almost forgot that!"
"Okay my dear, I have a meeting, talk to you later!"
"Okay I love you dad!"
"Bye!"
I end the call, leaving the phone on the hall table. I pass through the living room and reach the kitchen, the oak furniture and the window that gives the perfect light. Warm marble on the floor, the December cold is horrible.
Madoc is my father's best friend since high school, they have a company they run in London. Madoc offered to give me his apartment for the duration of the university. It's almost 7 in the evening and I'm quite exhausted, I take my first bag of clothes and head to the first bedroom, I step inside, a double bed with gray sheets. The huge windows that have a beautiful view towards the sunset, I start to arrange my clothes and some cosmetics in the bathroom

Two hours later I'm in the kitchen preparing some pasta with tomato sauce, I've finished arranging the clothes and ordered some books for the empty library in the living room.
I finish the pasta and head to the living room it's 10 o'clock,and of course the time zone difference confuses me, I sit on the fluffy sofa and turn on the TV, put on a movie on Netflix and start enjoying my pasta.

The sun's rays are invading my face, it's a Saturday morning, I fell asleep on the couch watching a movie, I pick up my phone and notice that it's 11 in the morning, I slept a lot but the road was tiring, today I should go to some bookstores and buy some notebooks and pens.
I got some thicker jeans and a puffy jacket. I took the elevator and went down to the bookstore that was quite close to the apartment, I bought some notebooks, pens and some notebooks for organization, I pay and head to the store I want to I do some shopping.
I take some popcorn jelly and some vegetables, I learned to cook from my mother before she left with her new husband.
I take the shopping and start to the apartment, it got dark and started to snow, I look up at the sky, flakes fall on my face , I smile and go back to the road.
I get to the apartment, put my jacket on the hanger
I organise the vegetables in the fridge and sweets in the cupboard.
Two hours later I'm sitting again on the sofa in front of the TV with a huge bowl of popcorn in my arms, I pulled the curtains and sank into the sofa.

I just landed from the airport, it's almost midnight, I decided to come 2 months early, my boarding school vacation was extended due to the weather, I took a taxi and headed to my father's old apartment.

The taxi leaves me in front of the building, I have a safe luggage with me, only a few clothes, the rest are in the closet of the apartment, I press the button for the 24th floor, the elevator doors close and the elevator starts.
I enter the apartment,but when I notice better the jackets are smaller sizes and pink.
Dad said something about Michael's daughter staying here for a while.
I see some colourful lights coming from the living room.
There she is.
She fell asleep on the sofa, she is so small, she has brown hair with red strands in a messy bun, she is wearing a snowman pajama pants and a red blouse, my lips curl into a smile.
I go to the kitchen and leave her in the living room, I open the fridge and notice that it is full of vegetables and even a portion of pasta, I start to heat up my portion, I take the first spoon, ladies, I think it's the best pasta that I ever ate in my entire life!
I finish eating and wash the dishes, I go to my old room, but I see the other room and the door was opened , I take a look, some book on the bookshelf and a few makeup things in the desk , I close the door and return to my room, take a blanket and go to the living room, I approach her,and I wrap her with the fluffy blanket.
I don't know her name yet but I will find out tomorrow morning.
I turn off the TV and go to take a shower .

I get out, get some sweatpants and go to bed, I'm exhausted.
