48. The Emotional Trauma

Hwayi's POV:

Hwayi: What are you talking about, Tae???? You're telling me that your family hates you.

Taehyung: Hmm..... My family contains Dad, Appa, my elder twin brother Jimin, and me. Before my tenth birthday, I didn't bother much because I always studied and had some average to good grades in school. Everything changed when my brother got sick...............

12 years ago.........

Author's POV:

When Taehyung was ten years old, his elder twin brother Jimin, who got sick, frequently checked on him, and they found out that he's suffering from Syncope with unknown causes which made them worried and took care for him.

Taehyung's POV:

In the meantime, my parents started to concentrate on my sick brother, and I know that he needs care too soon, but they ignored me like I didn't exist in this world. But I didn't mind them until that day........

Jimin: Taetae.....

Taehyung: Huh... Jimin ah.....

Jimin: My water bottle is empty. Will you fill it???

Taehyung: Yeah, give it to me.

I took the bottle and gone downstairs to bring water for him, and when I entered the room, I saw him unconscious state and was afraid. I called Appa, and we brought him to the hospital quickly.

I was crying and shaking, and my relatives came to the hospital. My grandmother hugged and consoled me. But I was pulled out of my grandmother's embrace, and my father yelled at me.

Jungkook: WHERE WERE YOU IDIOT WHEN JIMIN FELL UNCONSCIOUS???!!!

Taehyung: I..... I...... brought water........ from do.... down.......

Jungkook: IDIOT!!!! I TOLD YOU TO TAKE CARE OF HIM!!!! YOU CAN'T BE DOING IT PROPERLY ???!!!! WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF SOMETHING SERIOUS TO MY CHILD???!!!!

Taehyung:*Your child!!!!! Am I not your child too, Dad???*

Jungkook: YOU PATHETIC!!!!!

Jungkook raised his hand to slap him, and Taehyung was afraid and trying hard to protect himself. At the time, Namjoon came in the middle to protect Taehyung from Jungkook.

Namjoon: Stop it, Jungkook!!!! He's just a child, not your employee!!!! You guys get shit together (pointing Jin and Jungkook). I will bring him to my house.

Like that uncle Namjoon took my hand from my father's tight grip and took away from them. Suddenly, my mind went blank and was in the car and crying.

Taehyung: I didn't..... leave Jimin....... unnecessarily, but h.... he....... asked water. That's why, but why ca......can't..... they understand me, uncle..... why uncle????

I started to cry, and my uncle looked so broken down by seeing me like this on that day.

I lost my trust and affection in my father that day and started striving hard to win in every competition to gain attention from my parents, but I got nothing with appreciation and love from them.

After my 13th birthday, everything went downhill, and my appa, too, forgot me completely. Then I gave up on everything and studied hard for scholarships to go abroad and gone for part-time work for some time.I feel like I was in depression and my focus was not on the surroundings anymore time by time.

I passed in the scholarship exam, and I got their signature from them being unaware and ran away from my home to the USA. Then I met Jisung uncle, who was my father's business partner, and he became my guardian and I moved to London for studies and took counselling from Robert Uncle.

Now.......

Taehyung: Well..... that's my story for being neglected for a long time made me mad.

Hwayi: Sounds so bad..... and I think your father is a stone hearted man and only thinks about business.

Taehyung: And my elder brother Jimin.
God, I really fed up with them.

Hwayi: Will they know where you are staying???

Taehyung: No way!!!! I hid my identity properly, and Jisung uncle helped me with my request. He also gives money to me for my allowance, but I can't take him for granted. That's why I go part-time job after classes. Huh...... I feel hungry nowadays, and I eat non-stop.

Hwayi: Want some tea???

Taehyung: Yeah......
