Willow
Willow was sitting in her English class, trying to concentrate on the extremely mind-numbing discussion on Julius Caesar but failing miserably.
After concealing her yawn for what seemed to be the millionth time, she finally gave up. She pulled out a notebook from her bag and tore out a piece of paper as inaudibly as was humanly possible and started writing a note to Nova who was sitting beside her, looking like she was going to pass out at any moment.
I want to go back in time and kill Shakespeare. She wrote, before giving her best friend a slight nudge and stuffing the note into her hand before the teacher could see.
The corners of her mouth lifted up a tad before she continued writing on the note, glancing at the teacher every so often. The minute she was done, Willow snatched the note from her without her consent.
I shall join you. It read. Before Willow could write a reply, Nova grabbed the note much like Willow had done previously and scribbled something on the now withered piece of paper and handed it back to her right when the bell rang. Nova averted her gaze to something behind Willow's shoulder and immediately packed her bag and slung it over her shoulder, leaving the classroom before Willow could read what she had written.
We need to talk. Meet me in the bathroom at lunch. She had written. Willow furrowed her eyebrows, but shrugged it off. As lunch was right after this lesson, Willow stuffed her books into her bag and stood up abruptly, not failing to bump into someone during the process.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry!" Willow remarked. Her eyes darted to the person she had bumped into, and immediately her gaze fell to the floor as heat rushed to her cheeks.
"Uh, it's okay. I wasn't watching where I was going, anyway." Bradyn stated awkwardly, fiddling with the hem of his white t-shirt. Willow looked up at him and pushed her light brown hair behind her ear, nodding and giving him a faint smile in the process.
She slung her bag onto her shoulder and turned around to leave the class, when Bradyn's hoarse voice stopped her in her tracks, "Oh, um, just wanted to say thanks,"
Willow turned back to him, a perplexed look taking over her features. "Thanks? What for?"
Bradyn ran his fingers through his hair, "For telling me what the homework was yesterday," Willow formed an "O" with her mouth as a sign of recollection, "I didn't really expect anyone to reply seeing that people in this school are really, uh, you know . . ."
"Selfish? Rude? Annoying?" Willow giggled, completing his sentence, "I know. I've been here way longer than you and trust me, it's horrible. But don't worry, not all of us are like that."
She gave him a smile and walked away, her heart pounding in her chest.

Willow got herself a tray of food and went to her usual table. With a huge smile plastered on her face, she slid into her seat a little more enthusiastically than usual.
"Someone looks happy." Valerie remarked with a mouthful of food.
Corey shot her a disgusted look and playfully hit her arm, "Don't talk with your mouth open."
Valerie rolled her eyes, muttering something along the lines of 'Okay, mom' making Acacia giggle hysterically.
"Why are you so happy all of a sudden, though?" Acacia questioned.
Willow hadn't told her friends yet about Bradyn and how she might have acquired feelings for him, so she just shrugged. "I don't know. PMS, maybe?"
