Tom doesn't know where he is, that is, until he feels something in his hand and where he sees that it's a pocket knife that he has hidden with him just in case.
Tom uses it to cut the rope that ties his hands behind his back, and after he is done, he quietly leaves the dark room and leaves the house that he is kept in for 5 days.
Before he could think of reporting it to police, Tom thought that he should not do it and that the police thought that they did not believe him.
With that, Tom decided to keep it a secret and go back home.

Kat and Dahlia are outside of the intervention room as Scarlett is still in the room, being handcuffed to the table.
"I think Scarlett did it." Dahlia said to Kat, who was facing back and forth and thinking if Scarlett did it or not.
"I think so too, but that Evelyn girl was pretty upset about Mike before he was gone, but I still don't know why." Kat explains to her blonde partner.
"Does Mike and Evelyn know each other?" Dahlia asked
"I don't know, but we should ask the other person who knows about Mike." Kat said to Dahlia.
Dahlia was confused about what does Kat was talking as she asked the Burnette, "Who?"
"The cousin to Mike." Kat answered.

EP is still at Heatherson's house, where Samuel also comes over to try to cheer Kevin up, everything that Samuel does, Kevin is just never the same.
Mostly, where when Kevin is on a computer, he is watching video tapes of where it's Mike's 7th birthday when a young Mike blows out the candles on a cake and Kevin hugs his son.
It's was too much for Kevin that he threw his computer in the trash can.
