20th January 1639 CC (1977 AD)
Diplomatic Reception Room, 2nd Foreign Affairs Department, Esthirant, Parpaldia.

Just what's going on?

He contemplated quietly within his mind as he skimmed through report papers from various sources, which conflicted with each other. The events happened and escalated at a pace faster than Parpaldia's communications capable of keeping up with.

Despite his calming face, the Heart of the Emperor is embroiled in thoughts of the past so far. Even by this time, the Majority of the Parpaldian authority had not yet been notified about Vice Admiral Barth's order to open fire first, though the warning shots are vastly far away from the American forces, they were still visible within visual range. The communication problems within the Parpaldian command structure had yet to be addressed, and this issue remained large, unnoticed by most.

Some believed in the prior factbook that the US gave, and some disregarded it as propaganda. But among the images that the US wanted to show, the idea of the US being a liberal country spread among Parpaldian aristocrats through rumors that some, evolved to irrational—a deep-seated fear of the unknown, something that they couldn't comprehend fueled by the perceived threat of a technologically advanced giant. From the past until now, there were no nations in the New World that able to establish a republic government form. The New World elites had been crushing liberal emergence since ancient time, but this time, the American question arises. No one really have much intelligence about them and how do they conduct their diplomacy.

To them, the idea a of Republic was long gone before in the New World's ancient past. But with the arrival of the US, an existing country became a model that represents the idea works. Their unfamiliarity with the idea created a vehement response by the ruling class. While the influence of their hatred may not be immediately apparent, it creates unspoken difficulties between the two countries' diplomacy. As soon as the news about the US spred, the Mirishial immediately dispatched their envoy to Parpaldia to deal with the matter with their own hands.

But for now, worried Ludius wandered around the waiting room, he is desperately trying to pieces everything together to make sense from it. Now, his mind is fixated on finding whoever caused the American to send their carrier that stood by Esthirant. Though it's not as big as Mirishial's ancient Ravenal hellgenot supercarrier, nevertheless it is still far larger than the rest of the world fleet's ship sizes.

From then, he barged into the group of FAD officials who were arguing among themselves.

"Lord Rius," Ludius began, his voice calm but carrying an undercurrent of disappointment, "Were you the one in charge of the first talk with the Americans?"

Rius was taken aback, visibly nervous, he tried to make a sentence, "Yes, Your Majesty. I was the one who was in charge and directly handled the trade agreements."

Ludius sighed, a slight frustration in his tone. "Why then, did you attempt to impose extraterritorial laws on them? Did I not make it clear that such measures were only to be applied to lesser nations, not to those with the potential to be our equals—or even our superiors?"

He looked around, giving out stares to other FAD officials, "For your misjudgment, its consequence was unbearable to overlook. I can not simply letting you go unpunished. The same was said with the Admiral who led the 3rd Fleet to its destruction. I'll have to put you and other responsible on trials."

"Your Majesty, please forgive me. At the time there was not enough intel-" Rius pleaded.

Kaios interrupted, holding a sheaf of papers. "Your Majesty, if I may," he offered, presenting the documents. "This is an analysis I conducted on the United States, based on the most recent observations." he took the opportunity.
