Chapter 19

                                Ashton's POV
I woke up with Riven's back facing me. She was holding the blanket tightly and she was using it to cover herself.

"Sweetie? Are you awake?"

She didn't answer me.

I'm just gonna put some clothes out for her.

I got up then threw pants and underwear on. I grabbed some clothes for Riven. I put everything on her nightstand.

Riven started to slowly open her eyes.

"A-Ashton?"

"Hi baby. Merry Christmas."

"M-Merry Christmas. Are the kids awake yet?"

"Not that I know of. Did I just wake you up?"

She shook her head while she started to sit up.

"Here. Let me help you get dressed. I'll go turn the parade on then wake the kids up after."

She picked up her clothes and started going through everything.

"I wasn't sure if you were gonna want your bra so I just grabbed it anyway."

I helped her get dressed then went to the living room. I turned the tv on then found the channel that the parade was gonna be on.

Oh good.

It hasn't started yet.

"Dadda!!!"

I turned around and saw Evan.

"Hey buddy! Merry Christmas!"

"Merry Christmas!"

"How'd you sleep?"

"Good!"

"That's great. Wanna help me wake up your brother and sisters?"

"Okay!"

"Can you go wake Lizzie up for me?"

"Mhm!"

"Don't be mean about it. Okay? Being mean on Christmas is very bad. I'll go wake Koko and Posey up."

He ran off to Elizabeth's room. I started walking to the nursery. I opened the door then walked in. Mariposa was already awake. She was looking around her crib.

"Hi my butterfly. Were you looking for me?"

Mariposa started looking at me. She smiled then cooed.

"Are you ready for your first Christmas? Is your brother still sleeping?"

I checked on Kaikoa and saw he was still sleeping. I picked Mariposa up and brought her to the changing table.

I grabbed her clothes for the day then started changing her diaper.

"Are they okay?"

"Yeah. Kai's sleeping still. I'm getting Mari ready now."

I finished getting Mariposa ready then picked her up.

"Go watch the parade darling. I've got this."

"But they need to eat too."

"I'll feed them too."

I got Kaikoa ready then picked him up. I walked over to Mariposa and picked her up.

"Okay. You two are gonna chill with mama and your brother and sister while I get some bottles ready."

I walked to the living room and handed the twins to Riven.

"Dadda?"

"You can start opening your gifts. I'll be back in a few minutes."

I walked to the kitchen and started making bottles.
