Getting back to Trevors only minutes later, I do just as she said and pretend it never happened. I see the guys getting ready for the party by sitting in their normal seats and smoking - Pregaming themselves. I on the other hand take myself upstairs. Taking myself to the room I sleep in, I hear Rex's footsteps following me up the stairs. Busting into the room like the incredible hulk, he tries to compose himself before speaking. "Where were you?"
"Why?"
"I thought we would walk to Trevors together, instead after school you're nowhere to be found."
"I'm sorry I have a life." I shrug my shoulders.
"You were with her weren't you?"
"Would you keep your voice down?" I demand of him, not wanting the others to hear.
"Why? Everyone knows what's going on," He says and then gives me a look as if he's put the pieces together. "Unless you and Maddie made up." I shrug my shoulders. "You did!" He goads. I just roll my eyes though.
"So what if we did, it's literally none of your business," I tell him. In a second I'm just going to tell him to back off and that'll be that.
"So what? Maddie cares about you,"
"I know that!"
"So stop being a freaking idiot,"
"Like you were with sam?" I hissed at him coldly.
The silence is deafening, but it got him to shut up. "What did you just say?"
"I said, ' like you were with sam?"
"That has literally nothing to do with this."
"It has everything to do with it,"
"Then explain, because I'm not understanding."
"It doesn't matter, just stay out of my business when it comes to Maddie,"
"No it is my business, you brought her up, now spill."
"You knew I liked her, and you still went after her. If you want to give advice, at least take your own."
"You've got to be kidding me right now." He rubs his eyes as if he's annoyed now.
"You know what you did was wrong."
"It wasn't wrong!"
"Yes it was, and you know it." I point a sharp finger at him.
"She didn't even like you like that." And just like that, my right fist connects with his face, forcing him to the ground helpless.
"Say that again, I dare you." I egg him, knowing this fight had to happen for some time now.
By now, I hear multiple footsteps coming up the stairs and bust through the door. "What the hell is going on?" Everyone's gathered around us. Dustin and Allen help Rex up but I want to go in for another hit. Bringing in my fist, I start letting it fly towards Rex's face, only to be swiftly dodged by Dustin.
"What the hell dude," Dustin tells me.
"She never liked you," Anger boils inside of me. I want to kill Rex but as I start going up to him, Dustin holds me back.
"You shut the hell up!"
"Are you talking about that teacher?"
"No, just stay out of it!" I yell at Trevor.
"We're talking about Sam." Rex has started calming down, me on the other hand, I'm having a bit of trouble. Blood is coming down Rex's nose now and I almost feel bad for him. "She never liked you, dude."
