We all get to the cabin at around the same time.
Dad wouldn't stop talking about the 'olden days' here at this very cabin.
I'm just excited to get out into the lake.
I haven't been to a lake house in a few years, and last time I was with this very cute boy.
I'm not that type of girl really, but he was cute and I was about 8 so it wasn't real.
He was dreamy.
And now I'm stuck with these nickompoops.
Whatever.
I huff.
We all pull up, and Charlotte and Donna run up to my car.
Eagerly I get out, shutting the door with a Big Bang.
We all start to make our ways up to the steps.
I see Becky staring at the moth zapper.
"Daddy, what's that machine doing?" Becky asks, worried.
"O-oh its getting rid of the moths, honey." He replies.
I laugh at his stuttering.
"Where's it taking them?" She asks again.
"Hell." Higgins says blankly.
No wonder he doesn't have kids with him.
"Don't say that, Higgins" Lenny panics.
"Oh I'm sorry, not hell Mexico." I let out a snort at higgins foolishness.
My mom pokes me.
I roll my eyes.
"I-it's giving them electricity. So the moths.. fall asleep- u-uh electrically." He makes up.
Pretty impressive.
"It's electrocuting them!" She yells.
"N-no" I try to say.
"Daddy, there dying!" Shes yells again.
"Is it killing them?" Charlotte and Donna now yell.
"No." Lenny says, now not very amused.
"Daddy no!"
"No, it's not! Okay?" He says as he plugs the machine out.
"There all, alright. I promise you!" He says, taking one out.
I shiver.
Disgusting.
My brother sees and sticks his hand In my ear to try scare me.
"Stop!" I hiss at him.
He high fives Greg, as he sees I got a tiny bit scared.
Sully looks back at the big scene happening on the porch, and I am about to when I see Greg from the corner of my eye still staring.
I turn to him and give him a dirty look.
He looks away as soon as I turn.
What was that about?
Probably saying more mean things about me in his head.
Whatever.
Lenny says something and Greg has to chime in and ruin it for Becky.
"He's dead, dad." He smirks.
His mom pinches him.
I giggle to myself.
