spidey leaves the big apple

I was getting tired of waiting, I couldn't stop my leg from shaking. Pretty sure I was annoying my guards from the frown they were making, or was that from the tongue lashing they got for getting me a cup of water? Either way I have been waiting for over half an hour for my visitor.

It's been 3 months since I got arrested, a month since I was told I was moving to japan to join the world top hero school. I haven't received any visitors or letters in that time, except of course the letter inviting me to U.A. Thankfully good behavior and saving a guard from getting jumped got me a personal cell away from all the criminals wanting to shank me. That's what they do in prison right?

The worst part of being here? The boredom. I exercise and read but that's it. I tried making friends but that was a mistake. I'm not told anything of the outside and if Aunt May knew about my situation. Thankfully I was told yesterday I had a visitor coming to see me. I wasn't told who but at this point I was desperate for any friendly interaction.

After 45 minutes of waiting the guest door opened and two people entered. Gwen Stacy, the girl I had to give up and her dad George Stacy, the Captain who helped catch and arrest me. I stood up to greet them, I wanted to rush over to Gwen and hug her but that couldn't happen, not now. Not anymore. So instead I simply stood up and wiped my sweaty hands on my pants. The prison was nice enough to let me borrow some civilian clothes.

Gwen didn't seem to care about the awkward feeling in the room as she ran and gave me a hug in front of her dad. The man just watched me with a stoic look on his face. After hugging me for a few seconds Gwen held me at arms length, looking me over and quickly noticing I was skinnier than normal. Also a few bruises from people desperate for their shot at Spider-Man.

Coughing into his fist Mr. Stacy got Gwen's attention reminding her we weren't alone and she backed off. We all sat in chairs around a small table in the middle of the room and got the conversation started. Gwen started it off asking about my condition but I just brushed it off. "Just a few guys who aren't fans of mine. But how are Harry and Aunt May? Are they coming?"

Sharing a look with her dad Gwen went first "Well harry isn't exactly in the best mood. It hurt him just to find out about you being Spider-Man but because of what happened between you and his dad..... well he's become another J.Jonah Jameson. I'm working on getting him to therapy but it's not going so well right now." my face was probably showing how terrible I was feeling because Gwen then grabbed my hand and gave it a comforting squeeze.

Captain Stacy went next, telling me that Aunt May couldn't visit because she was attacked and placed in a top security facility. I burst standing up, screaming "Aunt may's in jail?!" before three fully decked out security guards in riot gear crashed into the room ready to throw me to the ground. Thankfully Captain Stacy was able to smooth things over and explained to me she was in a place that was keeping her safe. "She was attacked at a store but was safe thanks to heroes that were assigned to the area. Right now she's in protective custody and will be able to visit before you leave for japan."

After that I spent an hour answering Gwen's questions. I asked a few about the situation outside but I kinda regret it. Apparently we were heading to another civil war, this time focused in the hero community. I felt even worse as I told Gwen everything about my time as Spider-Man. The hurt on her face as I revealed all the lies and things I got up to in my secret life. The jealousy when I explained Black Cat and the fear of hearing me use the symbiote and how it was effecting me.

It honestly felt good letting it all out, no longer needing to hide things from her. The entire time we talked her dad just watched us, keeping the same stoic expression. When visiting time was almost over Mr. Stacy asked for a private moment. Gwen started to argue but I was able to calm her down with a touch to the shoulder and told her it would be okay.
