growing up in kansas, zela met her fate
when her biological parents were met with
a job recommendation from the howard's.
thus, she moved from kansas, to new york.
when her parents died shortly after, she was left
with her god father, since her family wanted
nothing to do with her, and so the howard's
adopted her. so when tragedy struck again,
zela began to believe she was a bad luck charm.
moving from new york to colorado, she was
met with someone who tested her luck tenfold.

when cole found himself struggling
to deal with everything going on in
his life after he lost any sort of way
to get a scholarship, he found ways
to fill the void. even if it meant he'd
hurt others in the process. although
that all changed when he met her.
he found himself letting the ice he
had molded around him melt when
she would be around him. she was
the fire to his ice.

having enough broken hearts, zela could
not bring herself to ever want to be in a
relationship with someone due to fear of
being heartbroken all over again. so when
she starts feeling things for the walter boy
she finds herself wearing her heart on her
sleeve. though, zela can only take so many
broken hearts before it's permanently damaged.
