*Kageyama's POV*
Despite the cold I was practically sweating.
He was walking so close to me and he smelled incredible, like ripe fruit and the morning after a rain shower.
I had to step up a little to avoid tripping on a crack in the sidewalk.
Hinata had been walking backwards for some reason and hadn't seen the Crack.
As he started to fall he squeezed his eyes shut and braced for impact.
In that moment I was thankful for my quick reflexes and managed to catch him before he hit the ground.
I ended up picking him up bridal style before setting him down again and apologizing.
I was hoping the dark would hide just how red I was.
When we finally made it there his little sister came running up to him and he spoke to her.
"Natsu your supposed to be at grandma's right now" he said gently.
"I know but I just wanted to see you" she whined.
"Well I'm going to sleep over at Kag's house so you need to head over, let me grab my stuff and I'll walk you there" he smiled.
