Vincent convinced Maddison to walk to the mall versus taking a car because it was so close, once inside she was met with tons of stores, tons of people, most importantly tons of dresses. Vincent walked close by her, looking at all the expensive looking stores. But of course, since they were back out in public, Vincent had a different aurora around him. Serious was the best way to describe it.
Maddison found a store she thought to be interesting and started looking at dresses, after around an hour of looking she was holding around 15 different dress options, she loved shopping. She also liked getting his opinion on what she would buy, that is before they joined the force.
A certain area in the store was a dressing room, a separate closet to change in and a "reviewing" looking place with a big mirror. "Sit." Maddison pointed to one of the chairs in the viewing room while looking at Vincent, he sat down and crossed his arms, waiting.
She was on her last three dresses, all the others weren't her style at all. She walked out and looked at herself in the mirror before she looked at Vincent. It was a satin blood-red dress, with a slit on one side, an open back with a tie that sparkled like diamonds. Vincent stared at her, his eyes trailing everywhere on her while his hand covered his mouth. "Well?" Maddison asked impatiently.
"The other two are the same way just in black-"
"No, the red looks good on you." He stated, his facial expression now much more serious. It was obvious she was having a major effect on him. "Okay... this is the one then. I need heels next." she spoke walking back to the dressing room. He crossed his legs and waited for her to return.
"These are nice.." Maddison spoke looking at a pair of black stilettos. Vincent looked down at her with his arms crossed. "Maddie... you wanna be able to walk around." she looked up at him, "I can walk in these!" she proceeded to put them on and walk around. She put her hands on her hips and smirked, looking back up at him. "See!" he tilted his head, "if youend up not being able to walk don't come crying to me."
Once finally back Maddie flopped onto the bed closest to the door (which was Vincent's.) and huffed. "You're on my bed Maddie." he looked down at her, his arms crossed."I'm aware." She groaned, not moving he sat down on the bed and looked at her, moving the hair out of her face. "What was that for?" She asked, rolling over onto her stomach.
"What was what for?"
"You-... never mind."
There was a moment of silence. "I didn't expect for us to meet again like this."
His voice was soft when he spoke which changed the atmosphere immensely. It was as if he'd been waiting for this moment to come for a life time. She looked up at him, "what do you mean?" He sat in silence, looking outside their window. "So you're too embarrassed to say it?" Vincent shook his head, while chuckling, "you're always analyzing me aren't you?" She stared at him for a while, maybe this mission wasn't gonna be bad after all.
