Author's POV

December had finally arrived, bringing with it the excitement of Christmas and the upcoming birthdays of Taehyung and Jin. Today was December 1st, and in just three days, Jin would be celebrating his birthday. Taehyung couldn't contain his excitement, eager to make this birthday special for Jin.

Jin had once shared with Taehyung that his family never celebrated his birthday, except for Namjoon hyung, Jungkook, and Hoseok. Jin himself didn't like his birthday, believing he had brought a curse upon his family. Taehyung and his friends were determined to change Jin's perspective and show him how much he was valued.

Currently, Taehyung, Yoongi, Jimin, and Hoseok were huddled in the cafeteria, brainstorming ideas for Jin's birthday celebration. Jungkook was in the library, working on assignments with Jin's help.

Taehyung had noticed a change in Jin since their return from Tokyo. Jin still interacted with him, but he seemed slightly distant. Taehyung couldn't help but wonder if he had misinterpreted their growing closeness.

Yoongi, sitting beside Taehyung, noticed his friend's deep contemplation. With Hoseok and Jimin engrossed in conversation, Yoongi turned his attention to Taehyung. The younger man's eyes were cast downward, his lips pursed in a pout. Yoongi sensed something was amiss and gently patted Taehyung's shoulder.

"What's wrong, Tae?" Yoongi asked softly.

Taehyung shook his head and forced a faint smile. He then turned his attention to the others, who were still chatting. "Hey, you two! We're here to plan Jin's birthday, not gossip!"

Jimin looked up, a sly grin spreading across his face. "You were the one who was quiet, probably thinking about Jin hyung. What were we supposed to do?"

Taehyung's eyes rolled in exasperation as he grew flustered by Jimin's teasing. "Shut up, will you?! Let's focus on what we're doing."

Jimin's laughter echoed through the cafeteria, causing Taehyung to blush. Hoseok and Yoongi chuckled at their friends' antics.

Yoongi observed the joyful atmosphere, feeling grateful for the strong bond between their friends. Just a month ago, he had worried they might drift apart, but now, seeing how they had grown closer, he felt relieved. Taehyung had accepted Jimin and Jungkook's relationship, and his desire to reconnect with Jin and strengthen their friendships had brought them all closer together. Yoongi smiled, happy to see his friends thriving.

"What's going on inside that pretty head of yours, Hyung? Will you tell me?" Jungkook asked Jin, who was gazing at the playground where a group of boys were playing football.

A few minutes earlier, they had completed their assignment. Jungkook had wanted to join his friends and meet Jimin to plan Jin's birthday, but Jin had requested some alone time. Jungkook, not wanting to leave his hyung alone, had accompanied him.

"I don't know," Jin replied, his eyes still fixed on the playground.

Jungkook frowned. "What do you mean?"

Jin turned to Jungkook, releasing his pent-up frustration. "I don't know, Jungkook. I just don't know what's happening with me. Sometimes I feel like I should be living my life with him, but other times I think he just wants someone to move on with, and I don't want to be treated like an option."
