What if they don't die

September 5th 2017

Mateo 8:41pm

I wake up feeling incredible. I don't check the time because I don't want anything to shatter my survivor spirt. in my head, I'm already in another day . I have beat death-cast predictions and the first person in history to do so. I turn over, find my glasses, and kiss rufus on his fore head. I walk to the kitchen wanting to do something nice for rufus but I remember that my stove is still broke so I go for water instead. I grab two tall glasses of water and start to head back to rufus when he runs out my bedroom door screaming my name.

Rufus 8:47pm

I slowly wake up reaching for Mateo and I realize he is not there. I jump up and run out the door screaming "MATEOO!!!!", I almost run into him while he is carrying two cups of water. I take the cups set them on the counter and hug Mateo to death "What were you thinking you said you wouldn't leave, you could've died" I say exhaustingly. "but i didn't and i think we beat death-cast predictions" he said as cheerfully as possible. I quickly search for a phone once i find it i look at the time then look at Mateo "Buddy we still have a couple hours, but that doesn't mean that we haven't. Will you come back and ley down with me?" I asked while taking one of the glasses of water. "Yeah" he says and walks with me back to his room.

Mateo 9:10pm

I can't believe its only 9pm i thought surely the day was over, I could feel my anxiety rise as we walked back to my room. "Tomorrow you are gonna let me take you on a date" Rufus says confidently. I could feel my face grow red, I don't say anything and lay back down. Rufus comes and lays down next to me and puts an arm around me as i drift off to sleep.

Mateo 11:50pm

I wake up feeling for rufus to feel that he still has his arms tightly around me. What if he died in his sleep, what do I do. I immediately feel for a pulse, I sigh when I find it, "thank the lord" I whisper. Rufus starts to stir, "what wrong?" "nothing Roof i'm just scared to look at the time " I answer, "Then don't we will look later "he says to comfort me I just lay there awake cuddling with Rufus. I can't go back to sleep like this my anxiety won't let me.

12:00am

The Death-Cast CEO is sitting in his dark blue office smiling at his computer screen "I knew this day would come soon" He says aloud to him self he picks up his phone and starts to call someone.....
