Dancing in the rain

As you and h/n ran down the hill, clutching your stomachs in pain from laughing to hard, h/n suddenly grabbed your waist and kissed your forehead, gently smiling down at you.

 Soft droplets of rain suddenly started pelting down on to your skin.

"Look! It's raining h/n!" you excitedly squeal as you pulled away from him. You have always loved the rain. You stretched out your arms spinning around in circles with a bright smile on your face, watching the grey sky in awe

As h/n watched you with a look of adoration in his eyes, he silently made his way towards you. 

"Y/n?"

"Yea?"

"I have something for you."

Looking over at h/n, you could see one of his arm outstretched, holding a small dark blue jewelry box.

"Wha-.. what is it? You didn't have to get me anything you know?"

H/n stepped closer to you, closing in on the space as he placed one of his hands on the back of you head. He pressed his forehead against yours and whispered, "I know- but I wanted to. I love you." He swept his thumb gently across your cheek. As you got lost in his dark forest green eyes, h/n looked down and opened the jewelry box.

"I got you a bracelet. I handpicked the charms, each one is for each of our dates. And two special ones." he shyly told you, rubbing his neck nervously.

You looked down and picked up the bracelet carefully, tears welling up in your eyes as you looked at each charm, studying every groove of each colourful charm, each of them representing the best times of your life with h/n. You lingered specifically at the last two charms- the heart organ, with a small quote on it, 'You and me, together, forever and always." and a small heart shaped pendant with a dark green emerald placed in the middle, matching the colours of h/n eyes perfectly-  your favourite colour. Memories of the time you had with h/n flashed though you mind and butterflies swarmed in your stomach

You let out a shaky breath, looking up at h/n. You realise as he stared at you he was trying to figure out if you liked the bracelet or not, cheeks flushed and tinted pink.

You wrapped your arms around his neck without warning tightly, making him stumble and choke back as you hugged him tight- like you never wanted to let go. He cautiously wrapped his arms around you as well, tilting his head to bury his face in your neck.

"H/n- I love it- I love you. Thank you so much!" You say into his chest.

The rain was slowly making both of your clothes cling to your skin , but that wasn't important to you right now. This was.

"Dance with me?" You ask him while nervously giggling.

"Of course princess. Let me help you wear that first before you lose it." He replied in a husky voice, making butterflies swarm again, taking you hand in his as he clasped the bracelet around your wrist as you studied his rings.

H/n and you swayed to the rain, minutes that felt like hours,  lost in your own world, staring into each others eyes while a soft smile played on both of your lips. He pressed his lips against yours as he put one of his hands on the back of your head

"I love you"

"I love you more" he muttered against your lips.

A tear slid down your cheek as you closed your eyes, letting out a shaky breath as you remembered the distant memory playing out in your mind.

You looked up to the sky, blinking to keep the tears at bay- but that just made it worst. The weather was exactly the same as when you last saw him, the time when you screamed and cried.

It was like the world wanted you to break.

You tried to clear your mind, adjusting you black silky dress while reminding yourself that you had to put on your fake smile today as you stepped into the church where the funeral was.

Entering the church, everyone turned around and gave you a tight-lipped smile with pity clear in their eyes, knowing your relationship with him.

Letting out a sad sigh, you closed you eyes, fingers curling against the bracelet he had given you a month back, the green jewel shining as the light reflected against it- like his eyes. You walked to your seat at front as you cleared you mind, then remembering to tell h/n something.

You and me, together, forever and always. I love you.
