The necklace

It's been a little more than two months since mine and Draco's talk in the hallway. Christmas is right around the corner in one week. I'm a little excited.
But mostly for the presents. My family is rather small. It's just me, mum and daddy. My grand parents are dead, and my father cut ties with his brother because he was a squib. Non of us know how he's doing now. My mother doesn't have any siblings. So it's rather lonely.

" Y/n, hello? Are you even listening ?", Blaise said as I came back to reality.
" huh? Yeah I am, what was the question?", I say confusedly as I laugh. They others started to laugh as well.
" idiot, I asked if you are excited for Christmas ", Pansy said while laughing and kicking my leg under the table in the dining hall .
" ouch Pans! But yeah I guess", I say while laugh.
" are you?", I ask. She nods.

After lunch I put on my winter coat as I walked into the common room.
" hey Y/n where are you going!", I heard Draco shout. I smiled. " I'm going to hogsmeade ", I say loudly. " why?", Draco's asks. I laugh as I go closer to him. " I'm going to buy Christmas gifts to my parents", I say happily.
" oh okay, may I come with  you? I need too buy some presents for my parents as well", Draco asked.
I nodded. " of course you can. Go and get your jacket, I'll wait here", I said happily.
Draco went up and ran to his room. In seconds he came down with his jacket.
" ready?", he asks. I nod and laugh.

" Draco?", I ask as we were walking in the cold snow.
He looks at me with a smile. " what are you getting your parent ?", I ask as I give him a sweet smile.
" I don't really know, I think I'll give my mother a necklace" he said. He then paused for a moment.
He then continues, " and for my father I'll get a brooch that is bejeweled".
" that sounds wonderful Draco", I say softly. He nods.
" what about you ?", he asks me. I sigh.
" I don't really know. I think my parents might go away on some family business this Christmas so I don't really think it will matter. But oh well", I say trying to smile a little. He stokes my shoulders trying to comfort. " I'm sorry ", he says and gives me a sweet smile. " it's okay", I say.
At the same time we reached the shop that sells Jewelry.

" Hello there, welcome to our shop", the lady and the man said.
" hello", I said giving them a sweet smile. I received two smiles back from them.
Draco took of his hat as he said," Hello" to them as well.
As we walked around we saw a big verity of jewelry.
Both silver and gold, some even had diamonds.
There was one that really catched my attention.
It was rather simple but elegant. It had a silver chain with a pink diamond that was small as my thumb. The diamond was formed as a tear.
It also was bejeweled with small diamonds from the lower part of the diamond. It connected up to the left side.
It was beautiful.
" I see you found yourself a serendipitous find", the last said as she came closer to me. I nod at her.
" yeah, its exquisite & beautiful ", I say softly turning back my attention to the necklace.
" it really is, it would suit you perfectly", Draco said as he placed one of his hands on my shoulder. I smile softly at his words.
I turn around towards Draco. " you think ?", I ask him. He nods. " he's right you lady", the man says.
" would you like to buy it?", the lady asks me.
I sigh. " I can't sadly", I say.
Draco then puts his other hand on my shoulders.
" I'll buy it for you", he says confidently. I look at him confused.
" you sure? You really don't have to Draco, it's fine", I say softly. He smiles.
" yea I'm sure. See it as a Christmas gift, and you can pay me back another time", Draco says. I smile softly.
" so it's a yes then?", the man asks. Draco nods. He then goes and pays for it, as well as his gifts for his parents. I bought a ring and a clock for my parents.
" good bye & thanks with the help with the gifts", I say happily. I smile at them and they smile back.
" Good bye and take care, both of you", the pair says.
We both nod.

When we came out I hugged Draco as I said, " Thank you Draco. Really, thank you, thank you, thank you!". He laughed as he said," no problem Y/n. May I put on the necklace". I nodded. I took my hair out of the way and held it while he put the necklace on.
" common let's go. We don't want to freeze to death, do we ?". I shook my head. Then we walked away home.
