#1. CAREER

1. nursing career

As of now (December 2023) I have taken a total of five prerequisites for the nursing program. I have been able to pass all of them with all A's except Chemistry due to a tragedy in the family. My original goal was to take 4-6 classes throughout this year and I think I've held my own with this goal. I have gotten all of the competitive points I possibly can as of now and I will continue to do so this upcoming year.

2. writing career

I wasn't able to stay consistent with this goal due to my lack of effort. I'd like to say that I'll "do better this year" but I'm not sure. Writing weekly updates, while fun, is also very tiresome. I think it's a great way to keep up with my day-to-day activities, but sometimes my life gets so hectic that I don't even want to / have the time to type it all out in the aesthetic format I like. I may carry this onto the new year, I may not.

#2. FINANCIAL

1. budget

I was able to track my money more, and I am learning how not to spend excessive amounts to please the next person. I feel as if I'm not as generous anymore with my money being that I have lots of goals to maintain. At times, I get carried away as my nature is to spend it all. I think I can do a better job of this in the new year.

2. save 7-10k

I wasn't very specific with this detail, which is something I will work on for this upcoming year. When it comes to saving money, I was able to accomplish everything I could've wanted (on paper). I worked my ass off and paid for the cruises, I considered everyone and supported everyone to the best of my abilities, and in return, by the grace of God, I got a mini SUV. I paid for all the new furniture in this household, and a new paint job this way all of the rooms look nice, along with other things. I didn't save 7,000 dollars per se, but I did accomplish everything I could've asked for. And with 2 days remaining in the year, I think I'm doing well.

3. paying for college

I have to say I am very grateful that I can say I accomplished this goal throughout this year. One way or the other, I did it. I recently decided to take advantage of my VA benefits and now, for going to school, depending on how many credits I sign up for, I'll be receiving money every month as an "allowance". This has helped being that I can't always make the time to go to work and if I save my money in advance, I can pay for the following semester's courses. Very proud of myself.

#3. SPIRITUAL

1. starting a devotional

Speaking truthfully, I didn't meet this goal at all. I do think that there is a different way to go about this as I do want to get more in touch with my soul.

2. write in a gratitude journal every morning

Once again, this goal was not met. I lack consistency and this being so, I'm not sure this goal will make it into the New Year.

3. meditate

While meditation is important, I also failed to start/meet this goal.

#4. PHYSICAL

1. work out consistently

This is one of the examples that I spoke about in the introduction to this
