Matthew is a 17 year old man who is also a YouTuber. Matthew is a big Godzilla fan owning a TON of merchandise about the king of the monsters. Matthew wears and is represented by a bootleg Godzilla mask called "PVC Fire Dragon". It was purchased at a Spirit Halloween store for under a dollar, a zip up hoodie, fingerless gloves, a black watch, jeans and sneakers. Matthew has been expelled from seven different schools, where he often had to defend himself from bullies, and when he was 15 was sent to bullworth academy if he didn't want to get sent to juvenile hall or military school and where he was appalled by the bullying going on there. Matthew has an older sister who unlike Matthew has blonde hair and is the only member of his family who doesn't neglect Matthew. Matthew's biological dad abandoned him at a young age and his mother is a narcissistic parent who's married several men in the past. His mom chooses to dump Matthew at various schools rather than get to the root of his problems and deal with them. His tough exterior and self-reliance is a result of years of emotional neglect and the need to defend himself from other people. Matthew and his mom were relatively poor up until Matthew's mom got to her fifth marriage. Matthew's current stepdad works in IT, so naturally he has a fuckton of money, which is how they went on that year-long honeymoon while Matthew was at bullworth. Matthew's a Bully Hunter who takes on every clique at his new boarding school as a One-Man Army in order to end the rampant bullying, aided by his natural Made of Iron disposition as he's capable of shrugging off bats broken over his head, a sledgehammer hit that sends him flying, and even blows from a prized boxing champion. His default hairstyle is short dark brown hair, likely enforced from one of the previous schools he's been expelled from. Matthew lives in the lighthouse where Matthew lives at as he currently attends Bullworth. Matthew has standards: He's a brute who has been expelled by 7 different schools but he makes it clear that he's appalled by Bullworth's internal conflict and bullying. Matthew hates the mistreatment of women, he's disgusted by Earnest's perverse request for pictures of Mandy and angrily says that it's the sort of thing that will land him in prison. When he finds out the Nerds have posted those illicit pictures of Mandy around Bullworth, he's appalled and leaves to go take them down. Internally realising that the Nerds have taken things too far and could have ruined her life through revenge porn. In the fight against Derby Harrington, he's disgusted by Derby's willingness to sacrifice his friends to stop or, at least, weaken Matthew before they fight each other. When helping Algie confront Lola about toying with his feelings for her, he pats a tearful Algie on the back as a way of saying "I'm sorry you had to find out this way, you'll be ok". Matthew grew up fatherless and his mother is a narcissistic parent who marries men and blames Matthew for ruining those marriages. Rather than deal with Matthew's issues, she dumps him at any academy that will take him and make him their problem instead. His gruff and standoffish nature is a result of constantly defending himself from bullies and those out to hurt him. He doesn't insult his mom in the car ride to school, just his new stepdad. He tackles Jack to kick-off the final fight, all because of what Jack said, while yelling the loudest and sounding the angriest he's ever been in the whole year. For example: Jack: (After listening to Matthew's Kirk Summation) Well, at least MY mom doesn't make her living on her back! Matthew: YOU'RE DEAD!!! (Tackles Jack right off the roof). Matthew's stingy with kind words and not particularly philanthropic; he'll protect you from bullies in exchange for cash on the nail. Very rarely does he act out of the goodness of his heart. Matthew pretty much takes orders from everyone and he'll still go along with them even if he hates the request. He joins in on bullying the homeless man on campus, he helps Earnest get dirty pictures of Mandy, and he begrudgingly helps Johnny Vincent with his girl problems. An example of how hardheaded this hard head is would be baseball bats breaking over his skull and he doesn't even blink, and bricks thrown at his head break on contact. That's not possible of a human, let alone a 15 year old kid. While willing to do anything for cash and being rude to nearly everyone he interacts with besides the teachers and some of the girls, Matthew does care about people, going far enough to beat some sense into all the cliques so they could stop bullying weaker kids, and despite being called a psychopath by Pete, he has been shown to have guilt. Headmaster Crabblesnitch notes that at the end of Matthew's fight with Jack, he is a good person at heart in spite of his rough side, and decides not to send a letter to his mother regarding his expulsion. While not strictly 'ugly' in any sense, Matthew's not considered to be very good looking—Zoe even makes fun of him for being short and having no fashion sense. But he gets with every hot girl at the school because of his strong personality and natural charisma. Matthew shows utter disrespect to pretty much everybody, even the principal, but he ultimately does lay everything on the line to safeguard Bullworth. He also shows a softer side to the ladies: When Mandy breaks down at seeing voyeuristic posters of her that the Nerds wallpapered all over the town (with Matthew's help), Matt tries to console her; then, seeing it did no good, he leaves to deface the posters before the school board sees them. He's probably the second or third fastest kid in Bullworth, but he can outrun basically anyone in the town on foot and not run out of breath. For reference, even authority figures (who according to Matthew basically have large health bars) will have to stop frequently during chases to catch a breath. When Matthew was younger, he used to get bullied a LOT, whether it be for his appearance, having no friends, or barely ever speaking. One day, he stood up for himself by beating the shit out of a bully (a muscular, 6'5 football player), and from that point on, not only did it motivate him to protect helpless students from bullies, but he also brought it upon himself to learn how to fight. Growing up without friends actually didn't bother Matthew that much. He's an incredibly secretive person, not to mention he taught himself how to not get too attached to people due to the amount of times he switched schools. While Matthew isn't very nice, thanks to a bad upbringing, he's only defending himself from those who are out to bully or hurt him. Story-wise, he's standing up for weaker kids, aligning with outcasts, and his quest to take over the school is to simply stop the rampant bullying and violence from the 5 main cliques. He also helps those who are kind to him and on one occasion ran into a burning building to save some kids who were trapped inside. Downplayed, but it's implied that he's canonically not known well for his academic prowess. Miss Peters, the music teacher, blackmails him into starring in the school play by not assigning him another F in her class. He also doesn't know what a "sociopath" or "hermaphrodite" are. It is somewhat justified why he would be good at some of his classes as they are either relevant to the items he uses throughout year or he actually likes the teacher and therefore puts more effort into the lesson. Begins the year as a standoffish and hostile jerk, but makes friends with Jack and Petey quickly. He's also initially content to just ride out the schoolyear and pull the occasional prank, but when Jack betrays him, he resolves to unify the school and stop all the bullying out of self-interest and a genuine desire to do good. As he gets more entangled with the different cliques and their personal drama, he also begins to show a more empathetic side, particularly to the girls. When he becomes king of the school, he gets some serious Acquired Situational Narcissism and begins lording his popularity and fame over the rest of his friends, which blinds him to Jack's imminent attack. When all of his fame and popularity is stripped away, Matthew remembers why he became a Bully Hunter in the first place and fights back against Jack to save the school. He also rewards Petey and Zoe for their help, showing that he's at least somewhat grown out of his selfish ways. Matthew totally lacks Jack's incredible gift of being able to get others to listen through words alone. Almost every attempt he makes to solve issues with others through talking ends in a fight. Matthew is a Bully Hunter: He's particularly disgusted with how lower caste students prey on each other, rather than face the might of the preps, jocks, and others. As he said to Russell, "There are a bunch of idiots in this school who need a good beating, and you're picking on the few who don't." Matthew's dome is marred by a few scars. Matthew lives in the New England region of the United States which is where bullworth is located. Matthew grows from an aggressive outcast who openly distrusts others, to the popular kid who helps the helpless when they are beaten down or abused. Art classes show that Matthew has a surprising gift for oil painting. Matthew was dumped at Bullworth Academy by his often remarried mother and his new stepfather, who Matthew describes as a "rich old phony", whilst they go on a year long honeymoon cruise. Matthew had previously been expelled from seven schools for a variety of reasons which include graffiti, violent conduct, bad language, being disrespectful to staff, and according to small talk, arson. Bullworth is Matthew's last chance to avoid juvenile detention and, knowing Bullworth's reputation, he prepares for the worst. When Matthew first arrived at Bullworth, his default fighting style is a boxing style using a relatively simple combination of a left hook, right hook, and another left hook. When grappling, he makes use of a cross to the head, an uppercut to the midsection, and a knee strike. He also has a running shoulder tackle that breaks guards and knocks the smallest opponents down and a grappling take-down followed by a series of punches in full mount position. In addition, he can throw an adversary to the ground and kick them, or pin him to a wall and knee him in the groin. With training from the Hobo, Matthew can learn an "uppercut" which is really a charged left hook that causes head stun and breaks guards, a right leg sweep after a left hook that is unblockable and knocks enemies down (or causes them to lose balance in one leg if they're immune to falling), a jumping left side kick after a left and right hook that is unblockable, an extension to his basic left hook, right hook, left hook combo that adds a right hook to the midsection followed by a left uppercut that sends the smallest students flying backwards and makes the medium-sized and largest students fall in place (or makes them flinch backwards if they're immune to falling), a right roundhouse kick after his 3rd attack that knocks enemies down (or briefly causes a head stun if they're immune to falling) and is unblockable, and a left overhand punch after the 4th attack that is unblockable and knocks anyone down, including falling-immune characters. Matthew's dry brand of humor, which is helped enormously by him being the Great Stone Face of Bullworth Academy. He especially enjoys running fast ones past the Headmaster (criticizing his dress sense among other things), even during his expulsion proceeding. For example; Crabblesnitch: Very droll! A comedian to the end. Well, you are going to have to take your comedic talents elsewhere. Matthew's mom was surprised at how independent Matthew proved himself to be. As a result, she allowed him to stay at Bullworth for the next few years, with Matthew getting yearly visits from his sister. Derby's father owned an oil company until it went bankrupt sometime after the end of Matthew's fight with Jack. Going from riches to rags in just a few days, Derby got a job at Bullworth Town's gas station, much to his dismay. Shortly after earning his license, Matthew went to get gas for his car one day, and the moment he saw Derby working the front counter, he laughed so hard that it was a wonder he didn't pass out. Matthew is currently in his second or third year attending Bullworth. Matthew was born sometime in 2007, and has been making videos with his sister who did most of the editing stuff on his channel when he was younger since he was 4 years old. Matthew has been attending Bullworth since he was 15. Matthew's archenemy Jack Smith is from New Jersey. Matthew shares a lot of similarities to Julius Caesar; Both are men who rose to power without parental influence (Matthew's dad is no longer in the picture, while Caesar's dad was never consul so Caesar had no inherited excellence). Both Caesar and Matthew joined 2 other allies and formed The Triumvirate so they could build nobility and rise to power. Before rising to power, both the Roman Republic and Bullworth academy were plagued by a ruling body who were divisive and eventually factional, causing multiple civil wars. In bullworth, there are 5 cliques who are at each other's throats and fights are a common sight. The Triumvirate was formed around favours; the friends of Caesar helped him become consul and Caesar would help them in turn by passing any law they wished. In the year, Matthew was helped by Jack who encouraged Matthew to help the nerds and take on the bullies. Jack was the one who encouraged Matthew to join him in become the ruler of the school. After the fight against Russell, Petey takes over and directs Matthew on how to fight the cliques. Both Matthew and Caesar attacked their first tribe because they were a threat to their allies (Matthew fought the bullies first because they were antagonising him and the nerds. While Caesar attacked the Helvetians because he believed they were attacking an ally of Rome). Both fought enemies to the north and were ambushed by a different tribe a year later, (Matthew fought the preppies in Old Bullworth Vale, which is in the north-west of the academy and was eventually ambushed in the junkyard by the greasers). Due to his family wealth, Matthew was put against the preppies because they believed themselves to be superior to him due to their inherited wealth and they start talking badly of him when he starts interacting with the Greasers, their rivals and from a poorer part of Bullworth. Caesar had no inherited wealth, and the triumvirate allowed Caesar to have the wealth to become consul. When his consul expired, his allies started turning against him and he became general to maintain his imperium, as well as, become governor of a providence and take command of a few legions. Both had to turn against their allies under the excuse of a revolution and took the emblem of a bull afterwards (Caesar claimed the Veneti tribe revolted and he conquered it. During Caesar's reign, the Legio X Equestris was formed and they adopted the bull as their emblem. Matthew had to fight the nerds after they severed their allegiance to him and he helped them fight the jocks by disguising himself as the academy's bull mascot. When both became leaders, they were betrayed by a friend and forced to fight over leadership which caused a civil war when they returned, whereupon the traitor retreated to another country after losing the battle. Like Jack, Pompeius acted from the sidelines and renounced the protagonist's leadership during a campaign. Jack used the Townies to create dissonance between Matthew and the other cliques while Matthew was away tagging the town hall. Meanwhile, Pompeius resinded Caesar's governorship while the latter was away from Rome. After defeating the jocks, Matthew became king but was set up by the townies and expelled. Jack took over and caused a civil war, forcing Matthew to return with the Townies and he gets Jack expelled after trying to understand why he would betray him. Jack was then presumably dumped with the vengeful Townies, after that, Matthew became the king of the school and began an official relationship with Zoe, a Townie. Caesar's closest ally, Pompeius, betrayed him and tried to become leader by rescinding Caesar's governorship of Gall. Pompeius and Caesar contended for the leadership of Rome, causing a civil war when Caesar returned to Rome with his 13th legion. Pompeius retreated to Greece and soon lost the battle of Pharsalus. After this, Pompeius retreated to Egypt for sanctuary from Caesar by seeking refuge with Ptolemy XIII Theos Philopator but was promptly beheaded instead. Caesar was horrified by this because he wanted to spare Pompeius' life and he returned to Rome as its dictator after forming an alliance with Cleopatra of Egypt. While he hates bullying, and he fights to stop it, he seems to enjoy bullying and humiliating people when they're low on health; giving wedgies, pinching girl's asses, giving swirlies and threatening people. The only difference between his bullying and the students of Bullworth's bullying is that Matthew only targets people who have done something to deserve it in the year, while the students enjoy bullying anyone weaker than them. Despite Pete typically being the type of boy that the students at Bullworth Academy would target and often not treating him well himself, Matthew is friends with him regardless. At the end of his fight with Jack he decides that he would be an excellent choice for the head boy. He thought he had an alliance with the Nerds since he's been helping them since the start of the year, but when he came to them for help taking down the Jocks they showed how one sided this friendship was which forced him to fight them like with the other cliques. Throughout the course of the year, he manages to beat up a man twice his size in Russell, as well as trained boxers (sometimes several at the same time), the entire football team, a well-armed militia of nerds wielding potato guns and firecrackers, a violent Scary Black Man attacking him with a sledgehammer, and a psycho wielding a steel pipe, all by himself. Safe to say it would take a freight train to stop Matthew Buddy. Well, he, Pete, and Zoe share this. Still, Matthew deserves special mention, as his scathing sarcasm at everybody else's insanity/stupidity flies completely over their heads. His father is out of the picture and his mom is too busy dating to give Matthew any attention. Matthew had to learn how to fight and defend himself in response. Due to Matthew's behavior, he frequently gets expelled and he is eventually sent to Bullworth. When Algie sees Lola cheat on him with Chad and starts tearing up, Matthew comforts him by patting poor Algie on the back. His height is no disadvantage to him in a fight. Matthew can take on a whole clique in a fist fight single-handed and win. In the second phase of the fight against Edgar, he also rips off a large pipe and uses it to give Edgar a taste of his own medicine. Gives a "the reason you suck" speech to Dr. Crabblesnitch before he gets expelled, outlining everything wrong with the school while insulting him. Matthew: I'm not the one who's funny. You know what's funny? You! You're a joke, you old creep! You and your stuck-up, lame-ass school, with its bullies and sex-pest teachers. This place is a dump and you're a big-nosed freak! This school rewards losers and bullies, I just stand up to them!. Commented on primarily by Pete, it isn't obvious until Matthew mistakes a request to kill a houseplant with killing Derby instead. And though his tone of voice makes it unlikely that he was going to actually do it, he doesn't even question the request until he's corrected. He rarely smiles, and even at his angriest, his voice is rather muted. However, he acts like a Boisterous Bruiser Large Ham once he's done kicking someone's ass, besides that, only Jack manages to get a rise out of him. Matthew cobbles together his own little harem as the year progresses. It helps that every teenage girl in school is a Statuesque Stunner, towering over all the non-Prefects with the exception of Eunice, and even she has an inch or two on Matthew. The third shortest student in the entire school, just ahead of Pete and the little kids. Jack builds him up as the school hero, only to muddy his reputation in the penultimate chapter. Then Matthew rebuilds his reputation by doing good deeds like putting out a gym fire, and rescuing mostly innocent men/boys from an asylum. When it still doesn't work, Matthew just does it the old fashioned way and beat everyone, including Jack, back into knowing who's boss. Due to his father abandoning him and his mom neglecting him, Matthew is more mature than the other students and more capable of defending himself. Matthew is an uncle and has a nephew called Miguel. Matthew uploads fan-made Godzilla comedy sketch videos. Matthew voices almost every character on the sketch show, with other characters voiced by his sister and close friends, or other YouTubers. He created the videos with random ideas, before quickly evolving into overarching plots and character development. He's also the host of MIB Video Game Reviews, MIB Play Time, MIB Comic Reviews, and Top 5 lists. He has never shown his face though but he's a major fan of Godzilla, as well as kaiju and media. He's also an avid researcher of Godzilla in pop culture, often shining a spotlight on obscure merchandise or near-lost Godzilla media. Matthew has been a Godzilla fan since he was two years old. Matthew's sister nicknamed him MIB which serves as the inspiration for Matthew's YouTube channel name. Matthew uploaded a song called "Hybrid Dinosaur" onto his YouTube channel based on the film Jurassic World. Matthew is Bisexual. According to Matthew's sister Abigail Matthew's usual Taco Bell order is two chesse quesadillas a Baja blast and a Nachos BellGrande with no beans and extra cheese. In 2023 Dr. Crabblesnitch, who is the principal of Bullworth academy, found out about Matthew's YouTube channel and decided to hold a school assembly to show the school Matthew's YouTube channel, the video he ended up showing the school was Matthew reviewing the arcade game rampage and its ports, which Matthew uploaded in 2020. When Abigail was coming home from getting Taco Bell one time found Matthew just sitting by himself in the basement, watching Godzilla Final Wars before sitting down with Matthew and giving him his Taco Bell order. Matthew took Spanish for 2 years in elementary school. Matthew hasn't done a face reveal on his YouTube channel. Matthew's first YouTube video is titled: Monster Island Buds Episode 1: Rodan Loves Mothra, while his most popular video is titled: Monster Island Buds Episode 50: The Death Of Godzilla. Matthew owns a mug that says "World's Best Kaiju". His abilities are:
Superhuman Physicality: Matthew is able to accomplish strength and speed feats far above anything the average teenager can do. He has also survived lethal injuries that would outright kill a normal human, which includes but not limited to taking point-blank explosions, falling from several floors, getting his skull bashed in by a sledgehammer, casually walking off getting crushed by large metallic bells, etc.
Master Martial Artist: Matthew is highly proficient in karate, wrestling and boxing, to the point where he can take on many groups of students tougher/more skilled than him and come out on top without breaking a sweat.
Weapon Proficiency: Can utilize firecrackers, spud guns, explosive bottle rocket launchers, slingshots, stink bombs, etc.
Weapon Creation: As an aftermath of completing all Chemistry classes, he can make firecrackers, itching powder and stink bombs in a matter of seconds with just a miniature lab set.
High Intelligence: Matthew is surprisingly smarter than people depict him as, as he possesses a sense of maturity and calmness better than that of his peers. He is a quick-witted problem solver who uses the environment to his advantage and turns the tide in fights. He is capable of passing and excelling all his classes.
Stealth Mastery: Matthew has successfully sneaked around police officers, mental asylum orderlies, prefects and teachers without making a peep.
