Velvet and Veneer

1- The interview

It was a regular morning for Y/N, she had gone grocery shopping since it was Sunday and wanted to restock her fridge. She wasn't the richest teen and was looking for a job, until she suddenly saw a flyer that the famous popstars, Velvet and Veneer needed a personal assistant. She figured, since they were rich and famous, they would give good paychecks and she wasn't wrong.

First person POV:
I was debating if i should call the number or not. after like 30 minutes, i made my decision. I decided to call the number, mentioned on the flyer. Someone picked up the phone and it certainly wasn't Veneer or Velvet. Probably someone else who works for them.

Y/N: Hello? i would like to apply for the personal assistant position.
Random worker: oh, of course! your interview will be tomorrow at 6pm. Don't be late
She said and hung up the phone immediately.

i lay down in my bed, thinking about what i would do if i did get the job. Probably continue living my life but with more money obviously. I would buy more clothes, food and even go on vacations with my family and friends. The thought of having fun made me smile. It was getting late and I decided to sleep since i had a long day ahead of me.

-TIMESKIP-
The sun was shining through my window and it woke me up. I yawned and got out of bed, brushed my teeth and decided to scroll on my phone for a bit. I came across an instagram post from Velvet's account. It was just her and Veneer performing. I sigh and plant my face in my hand. I was hoping to get the job.

Then realization struck me. I had to pick out an outfit. I got up frantically and decided to search through my whole closet to find a good fit that i could wear at the interview and not make a fool out of myself. I found some pair of wide legged jeans and a graphic tee so i picked them out. It wasn't time to go yet so i left them on my bed for later. I was too lazy to pick out accessories yet and left to do it later.

I sit down in my kitchen and make myself an avocado toast. After eating i quickly wash up, dry my hair, style it and spray some deodorant. I had a wolfcut/any haircut so I styled it pretty well and was proud of it. After some time, i had to get dressed for the interview. I put on my outfit that i picked out, put on some cute accessories, did my makeup and sprayed some perfume.

I call an uber and wait for it. The sky was cloudy but it was still quite warm. I get nervous about my interview as the uber arrives. I hop in and ask him to take me to Mount Rageous. The ride there was silent, which i actually liked. I was listening to some music on the way of course but other then that it was chill. The ride there cost 15 dollars which i thought was pretty expensive considering the fact that it only took him 5 minutes to take me over there.

I stand in front of the massive building which definitely yelled rich. I swallowed my saliva and went inside the building. I was a bit nervous but tried not to show it. I walked up to the front desk and was met by a brown mop looking thing. She looked delighted to see me.

???: Hello over there!You're Y/N right?
Y/N: Haha yeah, and you are?
Crimp: Sorry, Sorry im Crimp.
Y/N: Nice to meet you Crimp
Crimp: You're here for the interview right? follow me

i nod and follow her into a room which looked like a supply closet from the inside.

Crimp: Alright, i just need you to sign this here.
Crimp says and gives me a paper which i had to sign. After signing one paper, I realized i had to sign multiple. After signing them all, Crimp was super happy and told me:

Crimp: You're hired! you will start tomorrow at 5 pm. Again, don't be late.
Y/N: Oh wow thanks so much! I will definitely try not to be late. I say and chuckle to myself. I wave goodbye to Crimp and exit the building

I left, feeling rather satisfied but also a bit disappointed that i wasn't able to meet the siblings, Velvet and Veneer. I didn't know what their personalities were like so that was definitely something i was not happy about. I pushed the thoughts away and call an uber to go to my apartment. Again, the ride there was pretty silent and it still cost me 15 dollars.

I arrive at my apartment and eat some pasta. After eating, I showered and went straight to bed. For some reason I was super tired and immediately fell asleep.

Yupp hopefully i dont write like a complete newbie since this is my first ever story. also there wasnt much of Velvet and Veneer in this chapter so sorry 😭😭. Also i will not be doing smut because i would feel uncomfy writing about it 😍 especially with a fictional character. anyway word count: 899
