Today was Valentines day the time for couples in love, Floyd was heading down the bunker looking for Branch, he needed his help on how to confess to you.

He had started to realise that there was something more growing between you two and as more time past the feelings in his heart grew stronger, to the point were he realised, that he loves you. When ever he was away he would miss you and his heart would long to see you and hear your voice.

He had slowly been trying to gather up the courage to ask you out, but never found the right time, and since it was Valentines day he thought this was the perfect opportunity to confess, but he had one problem, he had no idea how to tell you, so he was seeking advice from his little brother, Floyd managed to find Branch in the kitchen fixing himself a cup of coffee.

"Hey Branch, can I ask you something"

"Sure, what's up"

"Well, actually I need your help, there's someone really special that I want to ask out, but I have no idea how to ask her, so I was hoping to get some advice"

"I'm guessing that this special someone is Y/n"

"Wait, how did you-"

"Hehe, come on bro, you didn't think I wouldn't have noticed, I've seen the way you look at her, you look at her the same way as I look at Poppy, and when ever you're here you talk non stop about her"

"Really, is it that obvious"

"Yes, you really love her, don't you"

"Yeah, I do"

"Then my advice to you is to just be yourself and speak from your heart when you tell her, and the best way to do it is to ask her to the party"

"Party?, what party?"

"Yeah, Poppy told me that there was a Valentines day party tonight, it's the perfect opportunity to confess to her, also I suggest you get her a bouquet of her favourite flowers, for when you ask her"

"That's a great idea, thanks Branch"

"Your welcome, but it's funny though, it usually the older brother that gives the advice"

"Hehe yeah, by the way, what times the party"

"It's at six o'clock, you should hurry and ask her, instead of standing around talking to me"

"Yeah, your right, I better go now, thanks again bro"

"You're welcome and good luck"

So Floyd hurried out of the bunker and into the village, the whole village was coverd in heart shaped decorations and many trolls were ether giving each other valentines gifts or going on dates, he stopped at a near by flower shop and quickly purchased a bouquet of F/f and made his way to your bakery feeling nervous but confident.

You had just finished serving a customer and was cleaning one of the tables, when you glanced over at a couple sitting on the opposite side of the room, holding hands and lovingly smiling at each other. You smiled as your heart warmed at the cute seane, but your smile quickly fell knowing that you will be spending another Valentines day alone.

Customers that visited your bakery had told you about the Valentines day party that was being held tonight and secretly you hoped in your heart that Floyd would ask you to go with him. You had realised ages ago that you had fallen head over heels in love with him, when ever you two were together your heart would pound in your chest and you would feel the butterflies in your stomach, you had wanted to tell him how you felt, but you were scared, scared of losing him as a friend if you told him, so you kept quiet waiting for the right moment to tell him.

As you turned to go back to the counter you froze in surprise, blushing as you saw Floyd standing at the doorway, he was holding something behind his back whilst smiling nervously at you.

"Floyd, hi, you here for your usual coffee"

"No, not this time, I actually came by to give you these"

You gasped in surprise whilst coverd your mouth with your hands as Floyd brought out from behind his back the most beautiful bouquet of F/f you've ever seen.

"Oh Floyd, there beautiful, thank you"

You accepted the bouquet and smelt the F/f whilst Floyd rubbed the back of his neck with a blush of his cheeks.

"You're welcome, I also wanted to ask if you....i-if you would like to go to the Valentines day party with me"

"Y-yeah, I would love to go with you"

you said whilst shylie fiddling with your H/c, feeling your cheeks flush.

"R-really, awesome, I'll come pick you up at six"

"Okay, see you tonight, I look forward to it"

"Me too, I can't wait"

As Floyd left the bakery you smiled and squealed, jumping up and down whilst holding the bouquet close to your chest as you giggling in happiness, some of the customers smiled at you whilst others looked at you with confused looks, calming yourself you quickly skiped to the kitchen to put the F/f in a vase, you placed the vase on the counter whilst going back to work. Your heart pounded in excitement for tonight, that the smile never left your face for the rest of the day.

Time flew by and you had just finished cleaning up the bakery, turning the sign to closed you took off your apron, hanging it on the hook and ran upstairs to get ready for the party. You took a quick shower and rummaged throw your wardrobe to look for the perfect outfit, settling on a beautiful white petal dress that faded to blue at the end.

After getting dressed you curled your H/c hair and put on a little make up, once done you looked at yourself in the mirror making sure you look perfect, when you hear the door bell ring.

"Y/n, you here?"

"Yeah, I'll be right down, Floyd"

You quickly sprayed on some perfume, grabbed your bag and checked yourself one last time before heading down stairs, when you came into the bakery you stopped in your tracks at what you saw, there was Floyd in a black tuxedo with matching bowtie modified into his style, you felt yourself blush as you staird in awe at how handsome he looked.

Floyd on the other hand was stunned and amazed at how beautiful you looked in your white and blue dress that he almost mistaken you for an angel, and he found it hard to speak for you had him completely tongue tied.

"Wow, you look beautiful Y/n"

"Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself"

"Thanks, you ready to go"

"Yep all set, let's go"

Making your way out, you locked the door behind you and placed your keys in your bag, Floyd offerd you his arm which you accepted and you both walked throw the village feeling excited but nervous. You soon arrived at the location of the party and was amazed by the decorations, you felt your nervousness melt away as you saw other trolls eating, drinking, dancing and having fun.

You and Floyd spotted Poppy and Branch by the food table and decided to join them, Poppy was happy to see you along with Branch and you both started talking with them for awhile. Then the music slowly changed from fun and up beat to slow and romantic, you watched as trolls began to pair up, you felt a tap on your shoulder and turned around to see Floyd offering you his hand.

"May I have this dance"

"Yes, you may"

Taking his hand he guided you to the dance floor, placing his free hand on your waist whilst you placed yours on his shoulder. He lead the way slowly moving you to the rhythm of the music, as you both danced to the music you both staird deeply into each other's eye's, the world around you fading away as you get lost in each other's gaze, you felt your heart skip a beat as he smiled at you and spun you around making you giggle.

Unfortunately the song came to an end and you both snapped out of your trance when you heard the crowd of trolls clapping, you both separated feeling a little flustered.

"Um, Y/n"

"Y-yes"

"Can I talk to you in private, there's something I need to tell you"

"Okay"

Floyd gently took your hand and guided you away from the party, you soon came to a near by lake that had beautiful flowers surrounding it.

"Wow, this lake is beautiful"

"Yeah, it is beautiful, but it's not as beautiful as you"

You looked at Floyd, surprised at what he just said, he gently took your hands in his, you felt a shiver run up your spine whilst you blushed, and your heart began to race in your chest.

"Y/n, you are the most beautiful and amazing troll I've ever met, I knew from the moment I first met you, that you were special, and as time went by, I got to learn more and more about you, I found myself admire you for your kindness and compassion towards others and how you are always happy to lend a helping hand. You have been an inspiration to me and have inspired me in so many way's that I could only imagine, you have turned my world upside down, and I could not imagine my life with out you. What I mean to say is that I....that I love you Y/n, would you be my girlfriend"

"Oh Floyd, I love you too, to be honest I think I fell in love with you the moment you caught me after I fell off the ladder, and I would love nothing more then to be your girlfriend"

You both hugged each other feeling happy and relieved that you both felt the same and stayed in each other's loving embrace looking out at the lake before heading back to the party, soon the party was over and you and Floyd walked back in comfortable silence whilst holding hands. You made it back home and you gave Floyd a peck on the cheek before saying goodnight and headed inside.

Floyd stood there stunned and blushing, he touched his cheek and a smile spread on his face and started making his way back to the bunker with a spring in his step and humming a tune.
