Chapter 1: The Murder of A Friend

In the beginning...

The Angel Lucifer and Castiel were cast out of Heaven and condemned to rule Hell for all eternity.

Until they decided to take a vacation...

In Los Angeles, 2016

With John

John was in his car.

He was tapping the wheeling listening to music.

Then he moved his right hand onto the wheel and tapped the side of the car with his left hand.

He took a left turn.

He then passed a hotel.

Then after a minute, a siren was heard.

John adjusted his mirror and saw the motorcycle cop.

He smiles as he looks.

He looked at his brother in the passenger seat was smiling as well.

John then pulled the car over.

He parks it and with the music still loud, he waits for the officer to walk up.

The cop said, "Turn the music down, sir. Hey, cut the music."

John chuckles and says "I'm sorry." as he lowers the volume of the music.

The cop asked, "You know why I pulled you over?"

John said, "Well, obviously, you felt the need to exercise your limited powers and punish me for ignoring the speed limit. It's okay. I understand. I-we liked to punish people, too. Or at least we used to."

The cop says "License and registration."

Blaze sighed and John said, "Coming right up." he took out a stack of cash, licked his fingers, and started to count it.

The cop saw that and asked, "Are you trying to bribe me, sir?"

John looks at the cop and says "Yes, of course." he finishes and hands money to the officer who didn't take it.

John asks "Is that not enough? Take more. It's only money."

The officer said, "It's against the law, sir."

Blaze smiles and chuckles "You people are funny about your laws, aren't you?"

John looks at the cop and asks "You break the law sometimes, don't you?"

The cop gets caught in John's trap and says "Sometimes... I put my siren on and drive really fast for no reason at all, just 'cause I can."

John said, "Right. And why wouldn't you? It's fun."

Blaze asks "It feels good to get away with something, doesn't it?"

The cop nods and says "Yeah."

Then he realized what he said to John and Blaze.

John noticed that and said, "Uh, it's okay, Officer. People like to tell me things, those deep, dark, naughty little desires that are on their mind. It's a gift. Must be something about this face."

Blaze saw the cop look at the money then looked at him and asked, "So tell me... what are you truly thinking about?"

The cop gets caught in the trap again and says "I... I wanna take the money."

John said, "Well, don't continue to tempt yourself, just take it. What are you waiting for, permission? Go on, take it, buy yourself something pretty. You deserve it."
