Falling free

In the air realm you have to be quick, or you'll be left behind. You have to be smart, or you'll be tricked. You have to be strong, or you'll be beaten. Eron knew this, he had to fend for himself all his life being an orphan and all. Living on the streets hadn't been easy, a simple nap being a huge risk. In a way he was thankful for what happened but then again... he did miss the freedom. Being able to go anywhere he wanted, that wasn't possible in the wind tower.

„Hey chicken boy, get down from there. How'd you even get up there with your stunted wings?"

Rolling his eyes he retorted.

„I climbed dumbass. And unless you magically stop smelling like rotten eggs i'm not going anywhere."

The other boy huffed „Well, Sopphos is looking for you, so you better climb back down."

Sneaking away wasn't easy with the air knights around, but they were gone right now and Sopphos didn't mind if you were back in time. Gliding down with the bit of Feathers he did have, he made his way across the islands.

Back at the wind tower the other kids were scurrying to clean up any mess they might have made.

Approaching Sopphos he asked „What's all this about?"

„Oh you see young one, the air knights are returning early from their trip. I wasn't told why..."

„Helios snapped someones spine in half."

...

„Well Eron now that you say it, it is quite obvious."

Leaning against the wall the boy adds. „I mean he was literally foaming at the mouth talking about all the ways he wanted to break their bones, given how sturdy they supposedly are."

The old man only sighs „Yes, i'd really like to know how many times he got dropped on the head when he was young. But no matter, he treats us well enough. Anything you still need to clean?"

„Hm. No, not really." He looked over at the common room. One of the other kids had spilled tea all over the carpet and was cursing herself, because there was absolutely no way it would dry in time. That gave him an idea. He'd just need to get something first.

Sneaking off, to not alert the other kids since they would ask annoying questions, he made his way into the castle. The rooms of the castle are in the middle with a corridors and stairs going around them. Inside Eron took the stairs to the left, leading downward. Not many people knew about the wind castle having a basement, probably only the Gormiti and the kids. Once down he knocked. The massive door sliding down after the sun shaped lock spun and opened. Stepping in he took a deep breath, the scent of herbs and medicines filling his lungs.

„Nice day to you Eron, how may i help you?"

Looking behind a table with viles, burners and other chemistry equipment he spotted the headless Gormiti. Nobody knew what he was, he wasn't allowed to say and the knights wouldn't answer either. It was of no real matter to the wind boy, he never really came here to talk. Kratus was pretty much the pharmacist of the castle and the inhabitants had full acces to his services.

„Hey ya, what's the biggest amount of pain medication you can give me? I climbed on a tree and fell down. I'm not hurt otherwise, just in pain."

Kratus perked up from behind his equipment. „Oh dear!"

Before Eron knew it the other was looking him up and down. „How high up were you? Did you land on something? Where does it hurt? Are you sure you didn't break anything?"

„Whoa, whoa, i'm sure i didn't break anything. I just need some meds."

„Oh yes, sorry. Just worried that's all. I do have to ask for a more a specific measurement of pain though. How much out of ten?"
