Sometimes, I wonder what's beyond this lifeless city I call home... I wonder if there are people who dance, artists who paint, and explorers who discover new things.
And I bet there'll be color and joy in their happily-lit faces as well.
I wonder if there are forests-- vast, lush-green forests, filled with hundreds of towering trees.
And mountains-- humongous mountains with the highest peaks, and breathtaking sights that can only be viewed when standing up there on the rocky, sharp-edged cliffs of the mountains.
I once read about places called oceans in a book I'd found, I wonder if there are those, too. Large, vast, oceans-- Filled with plenty of different multi-colored fish, swimming around gracefully-- coral reefs, algae forests, and fascinating Dolphins playfully jumping into and out of the cool water.
And of course, I'll see birds-- birds that soar through the sky-- birds that have seen all kinds of wondrous scenery, beautiful birds, that are feathered with color, and winged with soft drapes.
And one day, I swear I'll do it-- I'll venture off far, far beyond this lowly city-- and discover places that I bet no living person has ever laid eyes on before. I'll explore the vast oceans-- and the forests and the lakes, and the plains and mountains, and even the deserts.
And if not, if I can't accomplish my goal-- if the world isn't what I expected it to be, then I'll paint the world. I'll paint it with color, teaching dance and the arts, showing love and gratitude to all, for each and everyone to pass on to one another, finally bringing joy and life to their dim-lit faces.
But most of all, I'll show people--
what its like to have dreams.
