Dimitri Booker
H O M E C O M I N G (PART 1)
Stingers 🐝 VS. Eagles 🦅
Last QuarterThe game ain't over yet and I'm already labeling this as the most intense game of the semester with the way we were toggling points back and forth. I swear these niggas been on steroids since the last time we beat them.
"You straight cuz?" Jabari must've noticed me trying to brush the pain off as we got into position.
"I'm good" I lied through my teeth. They might as well had pulled my arm straight out the socket during third quarter with the way they about dislocated my shit. I couldn't tell if they was tryna tackle me or if they was tryna jump me. Had the ref not called a foul to stop them I prolly would've been out for the rest of the game.
That ain't a good look with me being scouted and that's exactly why I'm thugging through it now. Injuries will make a professional team look the opposite way.
If for some reason football doesn't work out, boxing is my backup plan and I'm running a fade with everybody that ever had a hand in tackling me.
It would be my villain origin story.
"You're going down Booker" One of the guys on defense with the Eagles sneered through his mouth guard.
"Suck my dick" As soon as it was signaled for us to run the play my eyes locked on the end zone before I twisted my body the opposite direction to align with Tyler who wasn't even almost where he was supposed to be.
He was starting to piss me off not doing nothing as discussed. It's like everything Coach says, he does the complete opposite.
As his terrible pass spiraled towards me, I leaped into the air stretching my arms out catching the ball at the perfect time.
The adrenaline that rushed through my body overrode the pain that radiated through my shoulder as I made a run for it.
"Another pass from Johnson to Booker! Uh Oh! Looks like Booker is going in for another touchdown. Can he make it? Carter is right on his trail!"
To my right somebody was closing in on me, I pump faked like I was going right and went left instead leading to him clashing into one of his teammates.
Almost there.
As I neared the goal line a smirk found it's way to my lips. I twisted away from the dude who was about to tackle me and threw myself over the line rolling on the ground with the ball securely tucked in my arms.
The atmosphere was filled with screams and support from the crowd, my heart was about to beat out of my chest as I caught my breath.
"Let's go!" Everybody on the team was geeked, Coach Walker looked like somebody's proud dad as he clapped his hands.
"Good game out there" Brock bumped fist with me and I nodded my head.
"Fasho dat"
"Nigga we won!" Joseph attempted to jump on my back and I pushed him off. "Drinks on me tonight!"
"The whole night?" Jabari raised a brow. "Cause if so I'm ordering thirty shots"
"Drinks on me tonight for everybody except that guy" Joseph pointed at him and Jabari fanned him off.
