Cainan "Cinder" Burnheart

Cainan "Cinder" Burnheart was born on the 21st day of the 12th month of 596 PS.

He was born in a large village named Ashenstone, a village that rests in a valley that is located along the main trade route between the capital city of Milmond and the coastal city of Alveran. Ashenstone is primarily home to humanoid beings that radiate primordial energy called The Incedis.

There are four major elemental races. there are the Incedis for fire, the Tumul for air, the Glacia for water, and the Terros for Earth.

Cinder, as he was called mainly by his sister Seraphina, whom he called Ember, and other family and friends,

he was raised in that village to age 12, being taught some of the trade by his father, the blacksmith, and being taught, in secret, the way of the sword by his older sister. by age 7, he was very adept with the sword and could even hunt with a bow and fend off small animals and even wolves if need be.

at age 12, his village was ransacked by a band of mercenaries that went by the Crimson Talon. They and their leader Lennox came into the town and stayed for 6 days before leaving the town burned, ransacked of valuables, and drained of all alcohol.

Many people, including Ember, resolved to fight back against the burning and pillaging of their homes. many died before the end, including all of Cinder's family.

After discovering Ember's body on the steps of his family home, he fought with Lennox for a surprisingly long time before eventually being beaten back. Having earned the man's respect, he was spared but knocked unconscious.

Cinder buried his dead and still mourns them to this day. he worked to restore his village for two years before he had made enough money to execute his plan. He would take passage to Moonveil and hoped to find the man who took everything from him.

He left home and made his way to Milmond, all the while, training his sword arm and techniques. He reaches his destination with only enough money to get room and board for three days.

in need of work, he meets a man with a kindly, yet stern, face who takes him under his wing and convinces him to join the army under his command. Colonel McShane became a very good friend and even, sometimes, a perceived father figure over the 6 years Cinder was in the army.

at present-day age 19 he spends much of his time at his post as Lieutenant Colonel Cinder Burnheart of the 1st garrison of the army of Moonveil. he enjoys free reign of the city when he isn't executing orders given to him by Colonel McShane and often spends time in his favorite Tavern, The Odd Knight, with his friend Tywin.
