"So it was a false positive" I said looking at my doctor dumbfounded.

" Mhm sometimes those tests aren't always accurate and our bodies are always playing tricks on us. Have been stressed. " she asked while handing me my test results. Stressed is an understatement. If there was a another word that would be be it.

"A little the holidays are coming up and that's all,,busy time for the store so yeah." I partially lied

"Well take some time off and for yourself ok" she chuckled and left the room. I got up and walked out to the car. I got in the passenger seat and handed Colson the paper.

"False alarm" I said buckling my seatbelt.

"Fuck" he chuckled. I looked over at him surprised

"You're actually happy? " I asked

"I mean our relationship isn't the best and adding another kid isn't the best option." I looked out the window and sighed.

"Yeah you're right." I hate myself for saying that

"You hungry? " he asked while pulling out of the parking lot

"Yeah I wanna 10 pound seafood boil. Spicy." I said copying that one tiktok "I'm just kidding you wanna go to American Deli? "

" yeah before you wanna go to the mall I promised Kaser if he goes to bed on time I'll get him a new pair of shoes." He looked over at me.

"Sure." We drove to the mall and went to Foot Locker. I was looking at a pair of cherry 11's when I  felt someone beside me.

"Hey" I looked up and it was the guy from the store that came in yesterday.

"Oh hey I didn't quite catch your name" I smiled

"Darius" he smiled back
