⎯⎯ ୨ CLEMENTINE'S ୧ ⎯⎯

I pushed open the door to the main conference room, bracing myself for whatever awaited us. The room was filled with tense silence, and the air felt heavy with unspoken words. My grandparents stood at the far end of the table, their expressions stern and authoritative. To their left sat Bang PD and the CEO of HYBE Japan, CEO of HYBE Labels, and CEO of BigHit, their faces a mix of concern and apprehension.

The members of Enhypen and &TEAM were seated around the table, their eyes flickering with confusion and worry. As I stepped inside with Kiera, all eyes turned towards us, and I felt the weight of their gazes bearing down on me.

"Ah, Clementine, Kiera. Glad you could join us," my grandfather's voice cut through the silence, cold and commanding. "Please, take a seat."

"Oh? Got selective amnesia, my dear grandparents? Really? You're glad to see me, huh. That's not what you said yesterday," I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"You literally disowned me yesterday and you're here wanting to meet me again? As you get older, it gets hard to decide what you wanted, huh...I see." I didn't even bother to exchange pleasantries as we walked towards the empty seats at the table.

I sat on the left of Enhypen's Jay and on my right was &TEAM's Nicholas, one of my soulmates. Though I managed to sound tough, I could feel my heart pounding in my chest, my mind racing with a million questions. What were they doing here? Why had they called this meeting?

Bang PD cleared his throat, breaking the uncomfortable silence. "Clementine, your grandparents have requested this meeting to discuss some important matters-about you"

"Oh, of course, of course! So stupid of me to think that they're here for a good reason for once-it always turns out the same, isn't it? You meddle too much about my life-even more than the people who actually gave birth to me" I sarcastically expressed as my grandparents threw me a warning look.

"Watch your tone, young lady" My grandfather warned, and I just rolled my eyes at him.

The air was thick with tension as the silence stretched out, my grandfather's words hanging ominously in the air. I clenched my jaw, the biting sarcasm on my tongue barely masking the unease I felt.

Bang PD tried to interject, "Clementine, let's hear them out. There are important matters to discuss."

"Fine," I said, my voice sharp. "Let's hear what they have to say."
