"You've seriously never tried it?"
"No, why is that so surprising to you?"
"You, you give off the vibe of someone who smokes weed".
I was sitting in front of Sam, under her house, watching her roll a joint. I've never smoked weed, only cigarettes.
We had been at the beach all day before this, her hair dry and frizzy from not washing the salt water out of it. My hair was the same, but she made it look good, I probably looked ugly and disgusting.
She looked over at me once she finished rolling the joint, holding it between her fingers. She scoots her chair closer to mine and reaches into my back pocket to grab my lighter.
She is very touchy, either she is flirting with me or she doesn't know boundaries. I'm pretty sure it's the second one, I don't mind it tho. If a girl like her wants to touch me she can.
She puts the rolled paper between her lips and lights the joint, she takes a deep puff and releases the smoke from her lungs.
"Want to try it?"
"Sure", I take the joint from her and place it between my lips, I inhale and immediately start coughing. "Shit!".
"Shhh", Sam starts laughing at me and rubs my back, "it's ok, take deep breaths". She takes the joint from me while I try to regain my composure.
When she removed her hand from my back I frowned a bit, her touch was something that I was starting to crave. When it was taken from me I hated it.
We've been hanging out for a few days now, tomorrow she wants me to hangout with her friends. I agreed because it meant I got to hang out with Sam more, I really like her, I don't even care if I have just met her.
Once I had stopped coughing I try to take another hit of the joint. This time it was better, I didn't almost die.
We sat there and smoked until the joint was done, I was feeling very happy. I kept spacing out and became very aware of my hands. I look over at Sam to see she was staring at me, a small smile on her lips.
"What?" I ask running a hand through my hair.
"You're just really cute."
I blush and laughed as if she was telling a joke, "thanks for lying to me."
"I'm not", she looked a bit offended that I would even suggest her lying to me. "You're beautiful."
I blush deeper and looking away from her, I space out again for what felt like an hour, when I come back to reality Sam is still staring at me.
After a bit she walks me up to my front door and I look up at her, "I'll see you tomorrow".
"I look forward to it", she leans down to kiss my cheek and then walks off.
I stand in place for a bit, smiling like an idiot before I finally walk inside and gently climb into bed.
The next morning I wake up groggy and get ready to meet Sam and her friends down at the beach.
I check my phone, I see a text from Sam, who had finally given me her number.
Sam<3- Good morning, beautiful. I'll come get you when my friends get here.
I smile at the text and go to brush my teeth and wash my face. I stare at myself in the mirror for a bit before deciding to just get into the shower. I strip my clothes and toss them to the side, I slip into the shower and turn the water on.
The water was cold at first, making me shiver as it ran down my scalp, then it slowly warms up. Making my skin de-tense and making me relax.
I wash my hair, letting the soap run down my face and my lips. With my eyes close all I can think about is Sam, her beautiful brown eyes, her veiny hands.
