Most people think the world is sunshine and rainbows.
Well it's not, and it's something everyone should surely know.
There are murderers and robbers,
Never listening to the hollers,
Of their victims before it's too late.
Much like these unfortunate souls,
There are more unfortunate ones that fall into holes,
At every single turn.
It's not something they even earn.
Most are trying to enjoy life,
But nothing seems to turn out right.
Furthermore, there are the broken ones.
They've been in a hole their entire life,
Having to fight day and night,
Trying to escape.
There's a point where they get a choice.
Continue being alienated by sunshine and rainbows,
Or accept the truth that everybody knows.
It takes a special person to accept,
When they only have so much left.
But the world's not all sunshine and rainbows, you see?
Although this is true, there are so many things to be.
A doctor, a lawyer, a grocer, a preacher.
A mother, a father, a policeman, a teacher.
So believe me when I say the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows,
But there's more to life than that.
Find what makes you happy,
And find what makes you sad.
Because the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows,
But it can't be all that bad.
