"Kruge? what are you gonna do with foreign money?" Alina asks Mal, curious of what Mal's intentions were.

It was obvious from the look on his face he wanted to gamble it away. Of course, that was very 'Mal' of him.

"Gamble it away, I assume?" The smirk on his face was wiped away as soon as I said that, only then for it to pop right up again.
"Of course, what else?" He takes the kruge and stuffs it into his pocket. "Why not try mangoes, hm? I hear they're quite exotic."
Alina suggests, I guess there's no point in talking about this since we probably won't get to visit other nations.

We continue walking, 'til we see a bunch of grishas showing off their skills.

"Our tents are over there now." Alina points to a certain spot where we see our fellow mapmakers and trackers. But there's one particular grisha that peaks my interest, a squaller.

"Yeah, seems like the grisha needed more space, I see why." Mal adds, "What a bunch of showoffs, those lot." Alina frowns, clear that she's not happy with the change of tents.

-

"Back of the line, your friends too." I overhear the lunchman, my heart almost shattered when I see Alina walk away without food in her tray. "Damn, Alina doesn't deserves this." I whisper to Mal, seeing his expression. He nods without a word.

-
"Mal! This is the worst idea you've got."
I whisper in a sharp tone, he walks faster while I try to keep up with him. "Now look, I don't want neither of my friends getting into trouble, okay?" I grab his wrist, I sigh in tiredness. "I'll do this, even if I get caught, what's there to lose?" I reassure him, just admiring how much he cares for Alina. He smiles at me and walks away. He's a great friend, and so am I. Of course I'll do this.

What's there to lose anyway?

-
I enter the grisha's tent, making every step I make as silent as possible. I lock my eyes towards the grapes sitting on the table, perfect. I just need to grab that, and I'm outta here. Easy. I grasp my hands on the bowl, I grab a piece for myself and turned around to walk out. Like I said, eas-
I almost drop the bowl of grapes when I hear a voice call out.

"You can get arrested for that." I flick my head around, almost spitting out the fruit in my mouth when I saw whose tent I was in. "Stealing from second army will get you thrown in a hole." Her voice was deep, stern exactly how I imagined when I stared at her.
I awkwardly smile, thinking of an excuse to get me out of this impossibly-awkward situation. "Well, why don't you arrest me?"
She looks at me up and down, scanning my entire being, I swear I feel sweat dropping down my back.
"Hmm, hold on." She pauses, what could possibly be so important about me? I think.
"Aren't you one of our escorts for the crossing?" She slowly takes off her kefta, revealing a tunic underneath all while not breaking eye contact. Is it me or she's taking it off slower than other grishas? Saints, if she went any slower I'd have a nosebleed.
