Pov Ricky
"And so he entered the room as your boyfriend."
Ricky rolled his eyes, and looked away. He was really lucky this wasn't his father's hospital.
Otherwise his dad would've killed him if he found out about what Jiwoong had said.
He could be tho.
After time of laying there without moving, or talking, he got bored. He wanted Jiwoong there again.
He was getting a bit too obsessed with him, that it was unhealthy. He felt like he was going crazy when Jiwoong was not around.
"Where is he?"
"Where is who?"
Ricky's neck hurt a lot when he was talking, but he wanted to know what was taking him so long. And how did he know where to find that man?
"Jiwoong. He was here."
"Do you want me to call him?"
Gunwook asked, and Ricky nodded slightly, as much as he could. The younger grabbed his phone, and went out of the room.
"What's that sudden thing with Jiwoong?"
"It's a secret."
Ricky whispered, making Matthew kinda confused. He really didn't know what Ricky had in mind. He could expect everything from him.
"I just hope this secret doesn't hurt anyone."
Matthew said, looking at Ricky with a sad look. The younger shook his head a bit, and closed his eyes. He was so tired.
That man had hurt him a lot. Ricky couldn't fight back. It was so sudden, and he wasn't ready.
He wouldn't forget the way he pushed him down and just started to punch him. With how much hate he was looking at him.
Just like how Jiwoong was looking at that man when he went to his house. But Ricky couldn't stop him from going there.
And he was scared that maybe he wasn't okay. Maybe that man hurt him, too. Ricky wanted to kill him.
He then realised that his face, the hate he showed, was the same as Ricky's face when he was looking at Jiwoong.
And even tho the doctors told him not to have bad thoughts cause it would affect his health, Ricky did.
And thinking about all the times he looked at Jiwoong with that face and the elder was seeing that, made him feel bad.
But he was really stubborn, and didn't want to apologise. Stubborn, or scared? No one knew.
"He'll be here soon. With Hanbin hyung. He said he wanted to see you."
Gunwook smiled as he went into the room. Ricky wanted to show how happy he was that Hanbin would be there, but he couldn't.
Hanbin was the first person who made Ricky and Matthew feel welcome there. He was the school's most popular boy, and also the president.
He was really close to them, and he would always put them as his first priority. Well, after his best friend.
Who, to be honest, now that Ricky was thinking about it, didn't seem to be just a best friend.
And for example, when he was about to choose where to go for the school trip, he ran to Ricky and Matthew, to ask them their opinions.
The room's door opened, and Jiwoong went in with Hanbin, who ran next to Ricky, and carefully held his hand.
"Don't worry about anything. We're here. Jiwoong's here. Oh, trust me, this man will never dare to touch you again after what Jiwoong did. I thought he killed him. He couldn't stop punching him. Anyways, do you feel at least a bit better?"
Ricky nodded, and raised his hand, trying to touch Jiwoong, but the elder was far away from him, so he stepped closer.
Ricky looked at Hanbin, then at the door, then at his best friend and Gunwook and lastly, Hanbin again. The elder got the message and stood up.
He motioned the others to follow him, and they all left, leaving the two boys alone in the room.
Ricky grabbed Jiwoong's hoodie with all the strength he had left, and looked at him. Jiwoong had tears in his eyes.
And seeing Ricky in this condition just made everything a lot worse for him and his feelings.
Ricky wished he could wipe his tears away, but he was hardly moving his one hand, so it would be impossible.
"He hurt you a lot. I should've killed him."
The younger really wanted to reassure him that everything was fine, even if it was a lie.
But he didn't have the chance to. His heart was beating really fast, and the electrocardiogram machine started to make a worrying noise.
"What's happening?!"
"I'm dying."
"What?!"
"No, just call a doctor."
Jiwoong ran out, completely worried, looking for a doctor. But he couldn't find anyone in there.
"What's wrong?!"
Hanbin asked, standing up as he saw Jiwoong looking around him, with panic all over his face.
"A doctor. Now!"
And they likely didn't have to search a lot. A doctor went up to them, with a smile on her face.
"Can I help you?"
And before Jiwoong could talk, she heard the sound, and quickly went to the young boy's room.
Until she got out, Jiwoong couldn't stay still. He was moving around, asking his friends if she got out, every five minutes.
"He's great. With the right treatment, he will be out soon."
"When is that 'soon'?"
"Today, tomorrow, we'll see."
"Can I go in?"
The doctor opened the door, and motioned him to go. But he didn't go alone. Hanbin followed him.
"I thought you'd actually die."
Jiwoong smiled, and went closer to him. But he didn't sit on the chair beside the bed.
He let Hanbin do it. He needed to be next to Ricky, too. He didn't have enough time to do that before.
"I'm not dying as long I have a reason to live."
"What's that reason?"
Hanbin asked, expecting to hear something such as 'girls' or 'friends', which surprisingly Ricky didn't say.
"Well, it's Matthew, you, and... Jiwoong hyung."
Jiwoong's whole face lit up, and smiled brightly, because of Ricky's words.
