"You'll be sharing rooms with Eliza, you don't mind right liza" Lockwood asked "not at all" I smiled. To be honest it will be nice having someone else to share a room with i hate being alone. "Like you ever sleep in your room anyway, you might as well have your own room Lucy" "oh shut it George" I replied
"Right I'll leave you to unpack" Lockwood said as he walked out of the room. They both left as I decided to get to know Lucy "I'm sorry about my brother he's a bit of a dick" I said i know what George can be like and no one deserves to have to deal with him "your brother?" Lucy questioned "yeah George" I replied "you don't look very similar are you sure?" I gave her a weird look yes I'm sure he's my brother.
"Ye well she's adopted" George ,who seemingly came out of nowhere, voiced "omg George what the hell you scared the shit out of me!" I screamed "but yeah he's right" "oh" Lucy said George stepped out and I shut the door.
"How long have you been here" Lucy questioned I was glad she was making an effort to talk to me I will be nice to have a girl to speak to "about a year" I answered "you seem a very quiet person" she said " oh I'm really not" I laughed "I just hate these interview things" "try being the interviewee" she joked back. I smiled she seemed nice.
-----Time skip-----
Lucy had unpacked and we had spoken for a while now. So I decided I was going to relax for a while. It was now 10 pm and Lucy was asleep, so just like every night I decided to head down to the library. And just like every night I headed down when I knew Lockwood would be there.
The door creaked open and he didn't even need to look up from his newspaper to know it was me "hey Liza" "hey locks" I smiled I know he's loves that nickname even is he won't admit it. I walked over toward the shelf and traced my finger over the books until I found on that interested me.
"That one's a good one" Lockwood spoke finally looking up from his newspaper. He shuffled up on the couch he was on and patted the spot next to him, inviting me to sit with him. I smiled and walked over placing my self next to him we sat in silence for a while before Lockwood spoke up "lucy nice?" he questioned "yeah she's a little matter-of-fact but seems kind enough" i laugh a little and he nods. we stay in silence but more peaceful not awkward. as im reading i start to feel tired i'm already slightly leaning on Lockwood so i decided to lean into him more.
lockwood's POV
she's so close to me shit what do i do should i push her away, but she seems so tired maybe ill just leave her. no she's my colleague not just colleague employee. i start to panic she always sleeps in here next to me but never this close. i finally decide to leave her she's fell asleep with her book in her hand i move it to to the side onto the desk next to me and take a sip of my tea i hear the door open and Lucy walks in. great. "oh sorry am i interrupting something" she says apologetically while referring to Eliza. I sigh a little "no you're fine do you need anything?" i feel eliza start to stir shit "what's happening?" she says half asleep "nothing Liza go back to sleep" i say. she complies ,still half asleep, resting her head on my shoulder. Lucy goes quiet and there's an awkward silence. "so what did you need?" i say trying to make it less awkward

Eliza's POV
i wake on the couch in the library at 9 just like always lockwood always wakes up about 5 minutes before me. i walk into the kitchen where lockwood is sat at the breakfast bar with a coffee in front of him "morning Liza" he said calmly "morning" i yawn he just laughs "i made you a coffee" he says. i smile thankfully and take the coffee from him. we sit and talk for a little and i deci to go get out of my sweats and dresses for the day i walk upstairs and start to pick out my clothes i see lucy already dress with her hair in french plaits "omg i've never been able to do those can you do it for me" i say to her "um sure" she says a little taken aback. i get ready and sit down for lucy to do my hair as she's braiding she says "soooo... are you and lockwood a thing then" i laugh "ha i wish" i immediately smack my hand over my mouth "shit don't tell him i said that" lucy just laughs "i wont i wont" i suddenly got a little confused "what made you think that?" "oh i walked into the library last night and you were um kinda of asleep on.." i cut her off i didn't need to hear more "oh" i said "is that what George meant when he said you don't sleep in here?" she questioned i sighed "yep" "so that happens every night?" she said confused i just nod "and your sure your not dating" she giggles. i just laugh and after a few minutes she said "ok done" and let go of my hair "thank you lucyyyy" "no problem" i walk downstairs in this
