"Look at his left fist! One of the three bulb-like things there has been broken!" You pointed out.
"A virus!?" Giorno yelled.
"The capsules on its fist break when it punches. And when that happens... a virus is released." You said.
"There's a total of six capsules on its fists. The virus spreads through the air and if it gets in your lungs or passes through your skin, it multiplies like crazy in you. You'll then fall ill in thirty seconds, killing you instantly!" Abbachio added on. "And once the virus gets out, it'll attack anyone nearby, friend or foe and without discrimination! There's no controlling it! And that also includes stands. Once it gets inside, it'll override all your metabolic functions."
"What's its range?" Giorno asks.
"Five meters." You respond. "I don't know where Fugo is, but he should be controlling that thing from within five meters."
"That's good to hear," Giorno replied. "But what about the virus...? From what range can the virus infect us?" He asks, turning towards Abbachio.
"We won't have to worry from over here. The viruses are weak to light once they leave the capsule. Even at night, light from a lamp is enough to wipe them out in ten seconds or so." Abbachio finishes.
"And the sunlight should be done disinfecting the crow's carcasses by now." You added, grimacing at the gruesome sight.
Then the stand seemed to get distracted, causing Giorno to question it.
"What is it doing? It's rubbing its own leg."
"Rubbing with its own spit, maybe... it always looks angry, but apparently, it's pretty neurotic and hates getting dirty. I guess you can call that one of the stand's quirks." Abbachio says while watching the odd behavior.
Purple Haze then got more dirt on his arm, making him try to rub it off, but only spreading the substance around more. The stand continued to freak out and make unintelligible noises, causing Giorno to speak once again.
"It seems the stand has little intelligence of its own..."
"It only embodies his violent side..." Abbachio adds. "And it's proof that Fugo can't see Purple Haze and that he doesn't have control over it."
Just then Purple Haze attacks, hitting the mirror with its bare fist. Shattering it and causing pieces of broken glass to fly everywhere.
"See that?! It's still attacking at random!" Abbachio says, then grabs yours and Giorno's hands, pulling the two of you away while continuing. "Not that it really matters. The enemy's not paying any attention to us right now. Let's get a move on."
Giorno stays still, not letting the older man pull him along like you had. The two of you look back, a conflicted frown flashing on your face.
"Can't you hear me, Giorno?! Let's go!" Abbachio says.
"Let me ask you, are you going to take the key? Are you going to abandon Fugo in this crisis?!" Giorno glares at the older man, Abbachio doing the same to him.
"Watch what you're saying buddy..." Abbachio snarls, grabbing Giorno's collar once again. "Our orders are to get the key and escort the boss's daughter to him safely. I want to save Fugo as much as you do, but getting the key and passing it to Bucciarati comes before that." He passes for a moment, glaring at Giorno even more, "If it were me under attack instead of Fugo... I'd want you to ditch me too." He finishes speaking, staring the younger boy down.
But Giorno doesn't back down. "Forgive my impudence... but I disagree! Fugo may be in danger, but he is not defeated just yet! We must put our lives on the line to rescue him! And, where could Fugo be?! Making a move before solving that puzzle will endanger us as well!" Giorno finishes, you nodding along slightly.
"WRONG! WE CAN'T RISK HAVING ALL FOUR OF US KILLED! I REPEAT, WE ARE MOVING ON! LETS GO!" Abbachio yells, startling you, but Giorno seemed unfazed.
"I refuse!! Rescuing Fugo and defeating the enemy will guarantee safety for us all!" Giorno responded.
Abbachio grabbed Giorno by the collar once again, bringing his face mere centimeters from his own, anger plain across his features. "You want to disobey orders from your seniors at a time like this?! You'll pay for this! That is, if you make it out of here alive!" With that Abbachio shoves Giorno and takes off running in the direction of the key. Leaving the two of you behind.
"Did he really just forget about me?" You asked out loud to no one in particular.
