I never once thought that I'd have to be packing suitcases to move until I was twenty, but I guess you never know what might fall out of the sky.

My step-father drove my family to the airport with the windows up, air-condition blasting. It was sixty-degrees in Phoenix, which is extremely hot. I was wearing a comfortable summer outfit, that I would change out of when we arrived in Forks.

In the Olympic Peninsula of northwest Washington State, a small town named Forks exists under a constant cover of rainy clouds. My mother took me away from this town when I was around 2 years old. We moved to Phoenix, and that's where my mom found out she was pregnant with Bells.

We spent every summer at Forks with my dad until I was 17, which was a year ago. Bells never liked going, but for me every year I would look forward to it. It was the only time I could get away from my mother's selfish ways, and the only time I could actually be myself. I was glad to move.

Don't get me wrong, I love Phoenix. I loved the sun and the blistering heat...kinda. But Forks, Forks will always be my home.

"Bella," my mom said to my sister, before we got on the plane. " You don't have to do this." My mom and my sister have similar looks. If you couldn't tell already, I'm adopted.  " I want to go." She lied, Bella has always hated Forks, no way she just suddenly likes it.

" Tell Charlie I said hi."

" I will. "

" I'll see you soon. I'll miss you dearly my muffin, " she insisted. " You can come home whenever you want, I'll come right back as soon as you need me."

Our mom spoke the truth. But I could see the sacrifice in her eyes behind that generous promise.

" Don't worry about us mom." I urged. " I'll make sure Bells is safe. "

She spared me a glance but muttered under her breath, " I wasn't speaking to you."

" She's right mom, I'll be fine. " Bells reassured her.

She hugged her tightly for a few minutes, before we heard our plane's name call. We got on the plane, putting our suitcases in the compartments. I sat next to the window because that's the best seat.

It was a four-hour flight to Forks. Flying doesn't bother me, the hour long car ride with dad though, slightly does. Bells and dad don't have the best relationship. Dad and I though, we have the best relationship in my opinion.

Dad is like a breath of fresh air for me. He never judges me, he comforts me, he supports me, the list can go on. Before we stopped visiting, dad and I use to go to a lake close to our house and swim, since the beach was a bit to far.

One time when he was teaching me to ride a bike, I fell and he bought me a puppy since I was crying so much. My dad is like my bestfriend, and I will forever love him.
