Ever since Neuvillette had bought from your shop, he'd come at least once or twice a week. Even if his day was busy he'd use his usual break time to mainly see you. However also because he enjoyed the taste of the water you sold. Whenever you ran out of the special kinds you sold he'd also try the cheaper ones. Neuvillette had actually found it quite considerate that people would even change which kind of water they sold for the others sake.

Since Neuvillette has been stopping by, you'd have small interactions or gestures for one another. Gradually you both had more detailed conversations and shared a few afternoons together. You'd visit his office and have a lovely conversation together. Dropping formalities and making Neuvillette feel more comfortable at heart.

Even at night when he'd watch you swim he found himself feeling warmer than usual. Even staring at parts of your body he normally wouldn't because it would be rude. Unconsciously he'd rub himself against the rocks he hid behind while watching you swim.

For the past few days you feel as if you're being watched. When you swim with the fishes you feel a pair of eyes watching literally every move you make. It had started to make swimming more uncomfortable. What you liked most about diving was that nobody was there to judge anything you did and you swam freely. Tonight you decided you needed a break from the diving, just to sleep comfortably or do something else that's been on your mind.

Neuvillette waited in the ocean patiently. Since he's seen you swimming you never skipped even one night. Perhaps that's why you seemed to be so healthy. The night before this one he'd noticed your uncomfortable expression. Looking around more than usual. He grew more worried and worried each second he didn't find you. He decided to swim around the depths himself to find you. He'd simply hide if he saw you.

You originally thought that sleeping instead of swimming would help this disturbing feeling. But not swimming left energy in your body you needed to spend. You sighed and got your wetsuit on to go dive for less time than usual.

Neuvillette swam around desperately, craving the feeling of watching your fluid movements and imaging them against his. Thinking about what it'd be like to swim with you.

You took a few steps back before running into the water. Your eyes closed before they opened to be met with a familiar pair of eyes. The amethyst colour and unique pupils you'd only find in someone like.. Neuvillette. When you dived you happened to dive just in front of Neuvillette. His breath hitched underwater. His heart racing realising what situation he'd be caught in.

(Btw before this part seems weird I'm pretty sure you can breathe underwater in Fontaine soo don't mind this part)

You eyed him up and down, he has a few scales on his forearms and a few underneath his eyelids. His fingertips were more pointy and his hair was more fluid than it should be underwater. His hair flowing around him. Ignorant of all this you began smiling.

"You like to swim too?!" Neuvillette was baffled. He thought you'd say something about his appearance but all you cared about was sharing a common interest with him. He began laughing lightly at this fact and smiled warmly, creating butterflies in your stomach.

"I suppose you could say that." He said after calming down, revealing some of his sharper teeth and tongue slit at the tip like a snakes.

"Also you look so cool! Is this real?" Your fingers hovered above the scales on his forearms.

"I.. won't deny it isn't. But you'll have to keep this a secret for me, y/n"

"Yes monsieur Neuvillette!" You said mocking a salute making him giggle a little bit.

"Wait.. so.. were you the one watching me?"

"...you have a sharp eye. I apologise for being rude and not approaching you earlier.. it's just-"

"That doesn't matter! I forgive you and I also thought of an idea! Would you like to swim with me Neuvillette?" You said holding out a hand for him to take. He looked into your eyes longer than he should've before taking your hand with a small smile. You felt your heart race before swimming deeper into the oceans. Neuvillette watched as the sea creatures and fish followed them. More approaching than usual because of Neuvillette's presence being a hydro dragon and all.

You let go of his hand and swam backwards facing him. He followed you and held your waist swiftly, spinning you around in the water. He watched as your h/c flowed with the waters of Fontaine. You both swam together for a while before you both exited the waters, walked out onto the beach. You took your hair and squeezed it so the hair could come out. Neuvillette used his abilities to remove the moisture from both of your clothes and hair. He shook his head shaking off his appearance to the same old Neuvillette disguise.

You looked down at your dry self surprised, it was as if you never entered the sea at all. You looked back to Neuvillette who was a little embarrassed. He had perhaps showed a little too much of his true nature. You gave him a reassuring smile and stood closely in front of him, placing your hands on his shoulders.

"If you want, we can go swimming together every night." He took a deep breath, forgetting how to breathe from your presence alone. He placed a hand over your one on his shoulder.

"I'd love that." He brung your hand up to his soft lips and kissed your knuckles and the back of your hand. You hugged him and kissed his cheek. Causing a light pink colour to dust his cheeks.

"I'll see you tomorrow night then Neuvillette." And with that you ran off leaving Neuvillette speechless before he made his own way to his residence.
