"Patient 0 - core frisk. 2/12/XX
Of all the people that could've succumbed to a never before seen Infection, nobody ever suspected core frisk would be the one. Their omnipresent, their body hardly exists in the first place, but they were the the first to show symptoms regardless. They came to me about a month ago, complaining that their omnipresence was 'blurry and scrambled', as well as complaining of pain in their chest any time they formed a body. Their bodies also seemed to decay faster than they used to, only lasting around a day rather than a week. Despite this, they didn't seem to be showing any other major symptoms, the infection itself seems mild at best. I attempted to take blood samples from the kid but pulled nothing from the syringe. Since then there's nothing I feel I've been able to do to help them. I'll need to get in touch with someone who can view the code to see if they can locate the issue. I asked core frisk to report back to me if their symptoms worsen and they've come back 3 times since. though with how little is known about them and their omnipresence I fear there's not much I could do to help them. One thing I observed while core frisk was talking to me was the fact that their body appeared to have a static around them, and it seemed to become more apparent each visit. "
Sci set down his pen, giving the ink on the page a moment to dry before shutting his notebook and tucking it away in a nearby shelf. His lab coat had been lazily thrown to the side, and the light from his lamp was the only thing lighting the room. He had taken an offer from core frisk a while ago to move into the omega timeline and serve as a doctor in the hospital. A few other timelines of himself were also given the offer but he was the only one to accept. It was easy work for the most part. Sci stood from his chair, stretching his arms above his head as he let out a small groan. The young skeleton grabbed his coat off the floor and slung it over his shoulder before noticing a familiar static in the corner of his office.
"...any chance you could take one more patient today?" Core frisk stood in the corner of his office, anxiously scratching at their palm. They looked almost scared, an expression they rarely held. It's hard to be afraid when you know what's going to happen.
Sci gave a small sigh, wondering why they had to appear specifically as he was about to go home, but looking at the terrified kids expression he knew it was urgent. "I suppose I have time for one more, kiddo" he said as he gave a warm smile, moving over to the light switch to flick on the main light. The light came on in an Instant, the buzz from the fluorescent bulbs filling the room. When he turned around frisk was already seated on the patients table, very clearly avoiding eye contact. There were clear scratch marks on the back of frisk's left hand from where the right had been scratching. Sci pulled his rolling chair closer to him, taking a seat and facing the child. "What's goin on now, bud."
Core still avoided eye contact, and it still took them a minute before they could muster up the words. Their lip quivered as they spoke, stuttering on their words. "I-" the kid stopped themselves, like they didn't know what to say. They stayed silent for just another moment before continuing. "Everything I told you about has just...gotten worse. My omnipresence is fuzzy, it feels like I'm slowly being blinded and whatever it is is just slowly covering up what I can see and the pain is getting so much worse I feel like I can't focus on anything and it's starting to worry the people around me and-"
frisk's speech was cut off by sci abruptly. The doctor rolled their chair closer to the kid, gently grabbing ahold of cores hands in an attempt to both comfort them and stop them from scratching themselves. Their hands felt like mist sitting in sci's palm. The scientist spoke with a calm, reassuring tone. "Frisk I know you're scared, anyone would be if they were in your situation, but if you keep rambling you're going to make yourself panic even more than you already are. You're going to trip over your own thoughts and confuse yourself. Let's take it one thing at a time, okay?" Sci's words gave a small amount of comfort to the kid, but it was clear they were still terrified. Their body shook as the static effect around them worsened.
