𝗦𝗜𝗥𝗜𝗨𝗦 𝗙𝗘𝗟𝗧 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗞𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗦 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗜𝗡, and as he stood in front of Marlene McKinnon's house—considering Monty and Mia fell a tad bit ill and Sirius knew they would trouble themselves with hospitality; a full moon just passed which meant Remus would be unable to be with him—Peter was visiting his mum, in fear that something may happen to his family.

Spending all night at a bar was not a good idea, the drinks did not help. The more he drank, the louder her voices got in his head. Her laugh. Her gentle tone and all her sweet words. For a few moments, he swore he even felt her touch. Dainty fingers tickling over his shoulders, kisses behind his ears — then he tore himself away from the wretched senses.

That ache in his stomach intensified— and suddenly his chest felt tight. He knew nothing in the world could turn this around. His morals hung to a thin rope. No amount of days could prepare him for this— no amount of time spent twisted in bedsheets with her arms holding onto him like a lifeline, her intoxicating scent engulfing him in a sweet haven, holding her in his arms as tight as he could to ease the burdens, could ever lighten the blow of this. There was this gnawing feeling eating away at his chest, wanting to swallow him up whole. This terrible, gut-wrenching emotion he couldn't shake. He wished he could pause time.

How could he possibly accept this? That he has been in bed with a Death Eater— that he has fallen so deeply in love with a Death Eater that he was actually contemplating going back and continue their lives as though nothing has happened, just so he could be with her.

It would have been great if one of his friends could be with him on what he presumed was the worst night of his entire life. The pain was severe, he felt as though he was lying down on the tiles of the House of Black once again—soaked in a pool of his own blood whilst his father shot countless Cruciatus Curses at him. He felt numb, his fingertips tingle and he wanted to scream out, crying in an unbearable amount of pain.

He had tried, has he not? With every second of the day, he thought about how he could alter every aspect of life to make her joyous, widen that stunning smile on her face or bring out that laugh if he gets lucky. He had been good, devoted, patient, caring and loving and so much more. Right? If he had been enough, why would she seek solace in the Dark Lord? Surely, he would know if the woman he lives with has been betraying him the entire time; the entire time, she had been sleeping with her wand underneath their bed, ready to cast a killing curse.
