Evelyn Roberts awoke to frantic shouting.

"JILL! EVELYN!" Sidney burst into the room, scaring the little girl.

"Evelyn, I'm so sorry honey..." the older cousin comforted before realising that Jill was missing. "Where's your sister?"

Evie wearily rubbed her eyes and shook her head before noticing the open window.

"The window is open," she stated. "Maybe Kirby's. That's where she usually is."

"Okay. We need to go. Now. Bring your ear mufflers honey. You might need them." Sidney said, grabbing Evie's ear defenders and dragging her downstairs.

"Jill's not in her room. Evelyn said could have gone to Kirby's," Sidney explained to Kate.

"Mommy!" Evie exclaimed as she ran into her arms.

"Oh Evie, precious." Kate Roberts reciprocated as she hugged back her daughter.

"The killer called. He said he wants my family first." Sidney recalled the events.

"But Jill," Evie said, terrified for her sister's safety.

"I know honey, but she's going to be okay, okay? We're going to get to Kirby's and she's going to be absolutely fine." Sidney comforted her younger cousin. " Let's get to the cops"

"Not there," Kate informed.

"What?" Sidney asked, confused.

"They were there when I left the house but not there now." Kate elaborated.

"Kirbys then." Sidney reasoned.

The two older women ran to the back door before running to the front door, Kate dragging Evie behind. Evie thought that in the corner of her eye, just for a second, she void see the reflection of Ghostface swaying in the wind, almost like a balloon being blown around at a day at the fair.

They had made it to the front door but just as they had opened it, Ghostface appeared.
Evie ran to the other end of the corridor and pushed the earmuffs tightly onto her ears.
She didn't hear anything until she saw Sidney's feet in front of her that she thought that it was safe.
Key word: thought.
Evie ran to her mom, who was sitting against the door with blood coming from her mouth.

"Mommy, are you okay?" Evie asked, though she knew the answer.

Kate Robert's choked out her final words.
"I'm... sorry... precious. "

She then slid to the ground, dead.

There was no time for the girl to cry before she got picked up by her older cousin and taken out of the door, where they were stopped by Deputy Hicks.

"Hicks. What are you doing?" Sidney asked, startled.

"I just saw somebody coming around the side of the house. Where are Hoss and Perkins? I couldn't get them on the radio.—" She replied, before noticing the blood on Sidney. "Whose blood is that?"

"It's Kate's, we were just attacked. She's dead." Sidney replied.

"Where is she?"

"Front door."

"Show me."

Evie shut her eyes tightly, not wanting to see her mom's body again as she held Sidney's hand.

As soon as Hicks had seen the dead body, Evie and Sidney were out of there, getting in Kates car on the way to Kirby's.

Okay... I said that I would update in January and it is now march. Better late than never though.
And yes, these are not a lot of words, but some is better than none. Now hush your complaining.
