welcome back to the author writing about things she knows nothing about (siblings and love). (the philosophy's back too!!!)
(published at midnight eastern time)
Somewhere in another world Jimmy is running through a forest. It's a new moon tonight but he can see by the torchlight of faraway settlements. And he makes the biggest mistake of his life.
Somewhere in another world Tango walks a path at night. It's a new moon tonight but luckily there's torches along the path.
As Jimmy stands under the birch tree, Endermen jaws close around his arm then shoulder, taking away some of his life. He cries out in pain and pulls out his sword.
As Tango finishes his food, he prays for Jimmy to eat. Keeping his shield out for the enemy, he feels a third bite dig deep into his skin.
Jimmy takes a step back as the Enderman screams for the last time. He doesn't scream in pain. He's dead before he has the chance to.
Tango grips his chest just for a moment as phantom hands crush it. A scream is cut off by the last of his life force going away.
They sit over their dead bodies and cry out. No! This can't be! They can't believe it. Tango sits in confusion and pain. Jimmy sits in anguish and regret.
And the Universe cries with them. And the Universe turns to its siblings and changes their past and present worlds so that can never happen again. And the Universe says it's too much pain. And some Universes take this better than others.

Usually Jimmy woke up cold because his parents never liked to heat the house. But this morning he was quite warm. As his mind somewhat cleared, he slowly blinked his eyes open. His curtains kept the room in darkness but Jimmy saw a vague shape he didn't exactly recognize. That being said, he did have an arm around it...?
Jimmy bolted up rather fast and pushed himself up against the wall. A person. Why was there another human being in his bed? Especially one he can't remember. Even through the headache and brain fog, he knew that was true.
The person seemed to slowly rise and Jimmy kept quiet. Whoever it was laid there for a moment before slowly sitting up and searching around for something. Eventually he seems to find Jimmy's phone in the darkness, turning the blinding thing on. He freezes when he notices it's not his phone. The flashlight is turned on and the person scans for something on the floor for a moment.
There's a small 'huh' before he turns around and shines the light over to where Jimmy is. He sees the man take a breath to either scream or flee but lunges forward and covers his mouth before he has time to do anything.
"Shhh!" Jimmy whisper-shouts. "My family could be home. Who are you?" He lets go of the man's face.
He whisper-shouts back, "I was going to ask you that! Where am I?"
"In my house! I don't think I know you."
"Nor do I!"
Jimmy just stares at the man for a moment before taking his phone back. The other hisses as the light hits him and rolls over, pulling the covers over his head. Jimmy opens his phone and navigates his way to finding out wherever his family is. Grian and Pearl are at different nearby houses in the neighborhood and his parents are at the store.
He keeps the phone in his hand and hops over the other to the floor. Almost falling to the floor, Jimmy finds his way to the light switch and flicks it on. In his suitcase by one of the corners, he quickly puts on a pair of sweatpants.
