Two painful, agonizing years passed by so slowly it felt like two eons for Scarlett. After Rhett left she had to take care of Melanie's funeral As soon as that was done with she went to Tara. Everything was fine there, Will was handling it perfectly. Suellen had lost a child and they weren't going to try and have a boy again. When Scarlett saw her little Wade, she found he was not so little anymore. And Ella was getting big as well. She felt horrible that she didn't care too much of her her first and second born. But she couldn't help it, they weren't from the man she loved. She clutched her chest every time she thought of him. It was strange she never felt that pain before. Starving in Tara was a bunch of kittens with rainbows compared to the pain of losing Rhett. But that's what confused her. When he left for three months, she did miss him and when she was ill, she did need him, but she never felt the pain she did now. Maybe because he's gone permanently, she thought. Then flinched, denying it. No, she knew she could get him back; nothing stopped her before, nothing can stop her now.
