Life Saver

~ Ren’s POV ~

“WHAT?” I asked Mia’s father. “What do you mean it’s dangerous there Sir?”. He hunged up. What? What the hell does he mean? I thought he had five bodyguards there? Should I go? Or... should I just follow what her father said?

“Wa... was that father?” Mia asked. She’s still drink, maybe she’s even half – asleep.

“Yes. He said that I shouldn’t drive you back home, it’s dangerous there”

“Why?” She had a weak tone in her voice.

“I dunno. Anyway, he doesn’t want you to go back there. Maybe there’s something bad happening there”

“Go there. Father might be.. in.. danger!”

“He told me to protect you not hi—“ She kissed me lightly. I didn’t kissed back. I was shocked – not that I haven’t kissed someone before. It’s just... I’m shocked at what she did, I never thought she’d do that to me. I mean, she’s weird and all.. but... I’m getting confused. She pulled back quickly. Her eyes were kinda half – open. But she had a worried and sad face. Then she suddenly hugged me. Tightly. Ok... should I go there? Since she wants me to.. I might as well go... I guess.. I hugged her back..

“Save... him..” she said weakly.

“Fi—“

“Bri.. Brian... Save.. father... Please... Brian” I got more shocked. More like... anger filled my mind and heart. I don’t know.. I think I just got insulted. It hurt me. Why did she say Brian? Not again. Why does she keep calling that guy when I’m so damn near! Why the hell? What’s her problem? And... why am I getting so damn mad... It’s... it’s normal that she should call that bodyguard.. They’ve been together before... and... Why am I wishing that she would call my name when she need something? I shouldn’t go there. I don’t owe them anything. Why should I? Why?

“Please...” She pleaded... Hugging me more tightly. I pulled her back then I noticed there was tears building up in her eyes. I pitied her... The looks in her face... It makes me... go there and find out.

“Fine. I’ll go there. But promise me that you won’t go outside this car” She didn’t replied back. Rather, I noticed she fell asleep again. I touched her cheeks... If she weren’t drunk I guess she’d be so noisy right now. I drove to their house as fast as I can. When we got there, I carried Mia and let her sleep at the back seat then I turned the child lock on. If she ever woke up I guess she might go outside and find me or her dad and get herself in trouble. She’s dumb after all.

When I was about to open the door I heard a loud gunshot. I quickly opened the door and went to the sound of the gunshot. I found one bodyguard. I didn’t know that guy though. My first time seeing him.

“Hey dude!” I said to the guy.

“You... are you one of them too?” He asked.

“One of what? I don’t know what you’re talking about? What the hell happened here? Why aren’t you doing your duties?”

“Aren’t you the tutor that Mr. Albert hired for Ms. Mia?”

“I am. Why’d you ask? Ok. Let’s stop this aren’t you thingys. What the hell is happening?”

“Get Mr. Albert out of here. Please”

“Why? Can you just tell me what the hell happened here?”
