"A boy?"

"A girl?"

"A boy?"

"A girl?"

"A girl?"

"A boy?"

"Why is this not ending?"

The air buzzed with anticipation, a warm mix of laughter, chatter, and joyful whispers filling the room.

Friends and family gathered close, forming a small circle around the expectant parents, their eyes sparkling with excitement. Tiny pastel decorations swayed from above, and a table nearby displayed neatly wrapped gifts and a cake topped with an elegant question mark.

"Come on!" someone urged, unable to contain their excitement. "It's time! Pull the next ribbon!"

The soon-to-be mom looked at their partner, their hands entwined, and they shared a glance brimming with both thrill and nerves. This moment felt like a heartbeat stretched in time, the kind that made everything stand still, almost sacred. Their fingers trembled slightly as they reached for the soft, silky ribbon – a delicate thread tied between the secret and the reveal.

The crowd’s excitement swelled, voices overlapping, forming a wave of cheerful impatience. "That’s it! The last ribbon! Pull, pull, let’s see! Is it a boy or a girl?"

The soon-to-be parents exchanged a final glance, savoring the tenderness and love reflected in each other’s eyes. With a gentle tug, the ribbon slipped free, and as it did, a cascade of color – soft blues and vibrant pinks – unfurled, swirling around them like confetti in a dream.

There was a brief, breathless pause as everyone held still, eyes widening, and then an explosion of joy burst forth as the answer revealed itself, wrapping everyone in its warmth.

"Yeahhhh.. girl.. yeahhhhh.. it's a girl., it's a girl."

The crowd erupted into applause, hands clapping in unison and cheerful howls echoing through the evening air. Laughter mingled with joyful cheers, filling the sprawling lawn with a warmth that could only come from shared happiness.

The sun was setting just beyond the mansion’s grand arches, casting a soft, golden glow across the scene, highlighting each beaming face.

Mr. Kim, the eldest of the family, raised his champagne glass with a broad smile, his voice carrying a note of pride and delight.

“Now, let’s get the drinks and enjoy the evening!” he called, his eyes twinkling as he gestured toward the beautifully arranged food and beverage section nestled in one corner of the lawn. Crisp white linens covered tables laden with delicacies, and strings of fairy lights twinkled like stars above.

The guests turned towards the feast, laughter and conversation bubbling up as they moved across the perfectly manicured grass.

With glasses raised and plates filling, they shared memories, exchanged smiles, and celebrated not just the new life on the way, but the love and togetherness that bound them all.

The classic mansion loomed gracefully behind them, a symbol of legacy and family, standing tall as it witnessed yet another joyous moment in the lives of the ones it sheltered.

However, in the neatly arranged tables around the corner of the lawn, the air was different, somewhat hollow and empty.

“Aren’t you happy?” Jimin, Kim’s sons-in-law asked softly, glancing at the brunette beside him, who was absentmindedly swirling a glass of wine in his hand.

The brunette looked up, his smile warm but a bit restrained. “Yeah. I am. After all, it’s about a tiny life, right?” His voice was light, but something in his gaze lingered on the horizon, as if lost in thought.
