CHAPTER ONE

Obanai Iguro

It's quite a lovely day today. The sun's shining just the right amount, it's cloudy and the wind's blowing in just the right amount! This day couldn't get any better! Well, I'm walking to the Hashira meeting, luckily I'm not late.

I enter the gates of The Ubuyakashi Estate, and a reach the meeting area. Kanroji immedietly ran up to me and started a conversation. Kanroji... I used to dream about getting together with her, i guess we missed our chance as I've lost any kind of romantic attraction towards the woman.

It's not like I dislike her or anything, I just don't feel attracted to her anymore. We talked about how our days were and missions. The other Hashiras started filling the area as we were talking. But then I noticed, where is that Tomioka?

Is he gonna be late again?! Though I really wonder why. I heard Sanemi mumbling something about how it was a frequent occurrence. He really must be annoyed by him.

After a few minutes, just as Master came out of his room, we heard Giyuu running. He was really taking deep breaths from running. But no one could get mad at him for being late as he was...covered in blood?!

Master faced Giyuu's direction as he asked. "Tomioka? Is that you?" Giyuu, after taking a few more seconds to catch his breath,  he looked at Master and informed Master that it was actually him.

"Alright then, let the meeting begin." Master started off.

"Um.. Master, I think that there's one more thing that we need to give attention to." Kocho interrupted.

"And what would that be?"

"The fact that Tomioka-san is literally bleeding, Master." She says.

"Is that so?" The Master asks. "May I ask, why are you bleeding, Tomioka? "

Giyuu sighed before answering. "I got hit by a car on my way here. That's why I took longer than expected to arrive."

"Damn." I hear Uzui mumble under his breath.

How the hell do you get hit by a whole car, on your way to a meeting? I guess we'll never know.

"You could've just gotten up and left?" Sanemi questioned Tomioka. "I had to pay insurance as the car was damaged." Tomioka replies calmly.

I just stared as all of that happened. "Can we resume the meeting now?" Tomioka asks.

"But you're bleeding?" The Master asks.

"I'll be fine for a while." Tomioka insisted as he sat down and bowed to Master like the rest of us. Damn... he really took the spotlight there for a hot minute.

The meeting then continued like always and Tomioka was taken to the Butterfly Mansion afterwards. Kaburamaru looked at me as I looked back. Crazy shit, I mean, he said all that like it was normal! Who does that?!

I got to my estate and got on my futon to take a nap. I loved taking naps, it felt awesome. But no matter how tired I was, I couldn't fall asleep. All I could think about was that Tomioka! Why?! Out of all people!

Giyuu Tomioka

I went back to my estate, and laid down on the floor. For some reason, the floor started feeling more comfortable. I laid there, thinking about how and why I got hit by that car.

Well, for starters, I don't have a good relationship with my relatives from here. The father's side of the family, if you may. They hate me to the core. And guess who hit me? My own uncle.

He went straight at me and ran over me when I was getting up from the ground! TWICE! I WENT FLYING WHEN HE HIT ME THE FIRST TIME!

I really should tell Master to never send me on a mission to the village ever again. Like... it's just too much! And the people around believed that it was a genuine accident! 

It's impossible to predict what's gonna happen next with these people! So fucking annoying! He and the other cock sucking pigs  are the reason why I'm late to these meetings!

I realize that I've hit the floor so many times up to the point where the floor board is destroyed and my hand's bleeding. I clean my hand, change my clothes and go to bed. I wonder what the fuck those bitches will do tomorrow!

Obanai Iguro

The next morning, I didn't get any work to do. So obviously I was bored. I saw Tomioka leaving the head quarters and his crow flying away, I assume that it's because he got a mission. I look at Kaburamaru as he hissed. I signalled him to be quiet as I had planned to follow the said Water Hashira.

My snake seemingly understood what I meant as he stayed quiet the whole time I followed Tomioka. He sounded annoyed as he entered the village.

I saw him sit down at a restaurant and order something. All I heard were mumbles as I kept my distance from him. I noticed that one of the waiters looked at him for a moment before turning around and minding his own business.

Well, that was weird. I ordered some Tororo Kombu before glancing at Tomioka. He looked more stressed as he waited for his food to arrive. I saw that he had some sort of fangs when he was drinking water. Was that always there? I must have not noticed it then.

I got my water, then I remembered about my mask. So I asked them to pack my dish for me before focusing my attention back to Tomioka. It seems that he got his food.

But, he just looked at it before taking the bowl and taking in the smell. His eyes widened before he placed the bowl back down. Then he just looked at the bowl in disgust.

They didn't... what the hell were they trying to do?! This dish has aphrodisiac mixed in it! Were they trying to get me in bed or something? Or were they tying to make me embarrass myself? Guess I'll never know.

Next thing I know that they'll accuse me for a crime! I just wanted to eat something bro... why did they have to do this? I just stood up, kept the money under the bowl so that it won't fly away, and left. I can't do this anymore...

But just when I left, I felt someone watching me. I know that I felt this when coming in here too. I turned around and I didn't find anyone suspicious. They all seemed to mind their own business.

That's when I started to look around for this demon. I could have completed this mission yesterday if I didn't get hit by that god damning CAR! I guess the meeting also would count as an interruption but that was important!
