It was the night before the first day of highschool. And I am currently at the Campbell's currently in Griffin's room watching a movie.

"Why give an Oscar to a movie you can't sit through?" I said

"Harper that is mean, I mean the cast and everything is pretty good." I watch as Griffin says that and I get up and start lacing up my high tops sneakers.

"Where are you going harper?" I watch as griffin looks at me putting on my shoes.

"I am going home, tomorrow is the first day of highschool." I say looking at Griffin.

"Why can't you just spend the night you have clothes here." I start playing with my fingers as soon as griffin said that.

"Come on you always spend the night you've been spending the night ever since you were 5." I roll my eyes and I continue lacing up my converse.

"Things change Griffin." I say

"What are you talking about Harper." I watch as Griffin pauses the tv

"I think sleeping in the same bed was fine when when we were kids, but we're 15 now. And we are getting older and I have boobs now." I say uncomfortable.

"And? You literally slept over like a week ago." I watch as Griffin says that he does have a point.

"And you have genitalia!" I watch as Griffin laughs

"Come on Harper I always had it."

"But there is more of it." I watch as Griffins face turns red once I make the statement and he says "How do you know?"

"I...I don't know but I don't think it i good for us to be in the same bed. I think our emerging hormones are destined to alter our relationship and I am trying to limit the fallout." I say looking at my sneakers.

"Whatever Harper is it because your emerging hormones aren't developing a thing for me." I watch as griffin says smiling.

"A thang? No, I'm not getting a thing for you Griffin. I've known you way too long, I've seen you scratch your butt, burp, barf, and pick your nose. I don't think I am getting a thang for you." I say

"So what's the problem?"

"We are changing and we have to adjust or else the male/female thing will get in a way." I say grabbing my sweater. Even though it is summer you always still need a hoodie I say in my mind.

"What's with this When Harry meet 80's crap. It does not apply to us, we transcend it. " I watch as griffin says.

"And how do we do that?" I say smirking

"By going to sleep, I'm tired." I watch as griffin says that

"That's avoidance." I say

"No it is proof. Proof that we can still remain friends, despite and mounting sexual theoretics."

" I don't think that works that way Griff."

"Come on, don't we get female on me Harper, I don't want to start calling you Marie."

"Shut up." I take off my shoes and I start tackling griffin. 

"We're friends okay." I nod "No matter how much body hair we get." I take off my hoodie. 

"Move over if you want me to stay." I say 

"Goodnight Harper." 

"Goodnight Griffin." I say 

"Hey Harper why'd you have to bring this up anyway?"
