" Hi I'm Elena what can I get for you?" I looked up from my phone just to be met with a pair of beautiful brown eyes,shoulder length curly hair and a gorgeous smile.I couldn't help but stare at her she took my breath away and I just met her at this point it has been five minutes and I was still looking at her I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard her say" Uh hello sir do you need some more time to look over the menu" I cleared my throat and immediately trying to play it off " Sorry I'll have a cappuccino and a croissant please" She just smiled and walked away part of me wanted to follow her but I didn't want to scare her so I watched her walk away. Please, Sorry I don't ever say those words what is happening to me , it's something about this girl I just met her but she brings out this side of me no one else has seen before.This was the girl I had to marry, maybe it won't be that bad.
Elena's Pov
"Alright your order will out shortly ma'am" I said as I smiled and walked away, I've been working here for two years and I love it I get to meet new people and of course try new foods and it's honestly the best. But lately I've seen this one guy a lot he's been coming in to the cafe multiple times per week and I never knew why, most days he wouldn't even order anything he'd just sit there and stare. He has caught my eye a few times he's tall tanned, wavy hair muscular arms and deep brown eyes, he's kinda cute I'm not going to lie but I wasn't focusing on him or anyone else I have better things to do with my life. I've always dreamed of getting married, but I'm waiting on God to send the person for me although my mom wants me to get married to the first rich guy she finds. I'm not ready yet,and I want someone who's going to love me for me but they also have to love God as well. " All right here's your food ma'am enjoy" I served her with a smile and went to take everyone else's orders.
Later that Day
Elena's Pov
My shift was finally over but I left behind to close the cafe it was around 6 p.m so I wasn't scared to be by myself, I started to clean the counters when I heard a familiar voice say" excuse me ma'am" I turned around to see the mystery guy standing behind me. " Yes how can I help you" I said not even looking at him there was two minutes of silence before he finally said something "why are you here alone?" he asked if I sighed I was tired and didn't feel like talking to anyone else I did enough talking today " It's part of my job" I responded hoping he'd just leave, BUT he didn't. " Romeo, Romeo Zolano it's a pleasure to meet a gorgeous girl like yourself " he introduced himself I gave him a warm smile and walked away, I just wanted to get my work done and go home to study that's all I didn't want to waste anymore time here. " Ok sir I'm going to ask you to leave it's time for me to close the cafe" I said in the nicest way possible he smiled at me and walked away,finally after a long day I could go home.
When I got home, I started thinking about our conversation. His name was familiar Romeo Zolano, then it hit me he was the mafia boss. I've been serving the mafia, all this time !!!!!.
Romeo's Pov
"Contact her mom,set up a meeting with her tomorrow three pm.Tell her to bring Elena. " I said to Jake who's sorta like my right hand man or assistant if you want to call him that,let's just hope he actually does the job if not then he'll be fired. Some say I do too much and that I fire people for no reason, the way I see it is if you serve no purpose to me then you don't deserve to be around me it's that simple I don't see why people don't get that.I think I'll stop by the cafe again just to see her, I need to know who she is no one has ever caught my attention as much as her, I don't know what she did to me but I'm not complaining.
The next day.....
Alarm goes off
Elena's Pov
Oh shoot I'm gonna be late for school,I guess I have to get ready now I really don't wanna go to school no more but I promised mom I would finish school and takeover the family business I miss you mom but don't worry I'm gonna make you proud.I checked my phone, school was cancelled. It was shocking but I wasn't complaining,so I decided to go get something to eat.As I left my house I noticed my mom's car pulling up in the driveway. She got out of the car, wearing her most elegant dress,she looked beautiful but it was eight am so I was confused.
"Hey mom what a surprise" I said extending my hands offering her a hug
"Hey sweetheart, let's go inside you need to get dressed quickly" my mom said rushing me inside
Once we got inside,I already knew what was happening. My mom was getting me ready for another "date". I knew my words had no effect, so I let her know what she does best. Which is force me to go on dates with random people, by the time she was finished I was wearing an elegant red dress,she did my makeup perfectly,and she let down my curls. (Here's a visual)
